What Does "I Will Not" Mean To Your Financial Future?

. .

 “I will not.”

That’s a pretty emphatic statement…chances are the person saying it means it.

But what if the statement is made not once. . .not twice. . .but three times?

I will not.”  “I will not.”  “I will not.”

I think there’d be no question repeating the phrase three times expresses an unchangeable position . . .it would or should be clear that nothing or no one can change the opinion of the person making the commitment.

Our Heavenly Father is the one saying the words and He’s making a powerful statement.

Hebrews 13:6 in the Amplified Bible says:

[I will] not,[I will] not, [I will] not in any degree leave you helpless nor forsake nor let [you] down (relax My hold on you)!. . .”

Does it seem that you just can’t get ahead financially or that your house is surrounded by creditors. . .just waiting to pounce and leave you helpless.

Habakkuk 2:7in the New Living Translation says:

“Suddenly, your debtors will take action. They will turn on you and take all you have, while you stand trembling and helpless.”

The world may leave you helpless but God never will.  He will not!

Psalm 35:10  in the New Living Translation says:

“With every bone in my body I will praise him:  ‘Lord, who can compare with you? Who else rescues the helpless from the strong?  Who else protects the helpless and poor from those who rob them?’”

When you feel helpless. . .when you feel forsaken. . .when you feel let down. . .just encourage yourself in the Word and know that God WILL NOT relax his hold on you.

Have you ever walked up to a busy intersection with small children?  You probably instructed them to take your hand as a safety precaution.  However, if it was a really busy and  dangerous intersection, you no doubt reached down and gripped their hands in yours. . .so there’s no way they could escape your loving and caring grip.

I want you to firmly get this visual in your mind.

You’re staying at the intersection of Debt and Lack waiting for the lights to change so you walk to the other side of Foreclosure and Layoff.  You step back from the curb a bit because you’re concerned about the speed and danger posed by the on-coming traffic of gloom and doom.

Suddenly, you feel the presence. . .the grasp. . .of the most peaceful yet powerful force to ever grip your hand and your life.  In an instant, you know that you’re going to be safe regardless of what’s happening around you.

That’s the way God. . .your Jehovah Jireh, your Provider. . .has His grip on you.

You may be standing at an intersection. . .a crossroads of your life. . .wondering which way you should go because of your problems, circumstances, situations or even opportunities.  Take comfort and shout HALLELUJAH. . .because God has your life in His grip.

Hebrews 13:6 in the Amplified Bible says:

“[Assuredly not!]  So we take comfort and are encouraged and confidently and boldly say, The Lord is my Helper; I will not be seized with alarm [I will not fear or dread or be terrified]. What can man do to me?”

The scripture is clear. . .we’re to take comfort. . .be encouraged. . .because God has us in His grip.  We must not be seized with fear of the unknown or what we “think” might happen.

Truthfully it doesn’t matter what happens. . . verse six concludes by saying “What can man do to me?”

The Message Bible translates the verse as:

God is there, ready to help; I'm fearless no matter what.  Who or what can get to me?”

Get this down in your spirit.

God WILL NOT let you go.

God WILL NOT let you down.

God WILL NOT leave you helpless.

God WILL NOT forsake you.

God WILL take care of you.

God WILL BE your helper.

God WILL BE your protector.

God WILL GIVE you comfort.

God WILL GIVE your boldness.

God WILL GIVE you His courage in the midst of adversity.

The last part of Hebrews 13:5 in the Amplified Bible says:

“. . .for He [God] Himself has said, I will not in any way fail you nor give you up nor leave you without support.”

Now shout Hallelujah.
