7 Traits Of A Finisher

Written by Harold Herring.

Have you ever started a project, assignment or job with a sudden burst of enthusiasm only to be slowed down by the first obstacle and stopped short of your goal by continual obstacles?

Congratulations, you’re average.  But you don’t have to stay that way.  Those who rise above the crowd are the ones who go the extra mile while others are relaxing in front of the TV.

The strength of a person’s character and drive to success is determined by whether or not they can finish what they started.

Employees who complete the task are more highly valued than those who, though they make a valiant effort, nevertheless, fail to complete the project.

The One by whom our every effort, thought and action should be measured. . . was a finisher.  Should we be any less?

John 4:34 in the New Living Translation says:

“Then Jesus explained: “My nourishment comes from doing the will of God, who sent me, and from finishing his work.”

Not only was Jesus a finisher but he made us that way as well.

Access To An Unlimited Treasury

Written by Harold Herring.

Do you feel like shouting?   You will after reading Deuteronomy 28:12-13 in the Amplified Bible which says:

The Lord shall open to you His good treasury, the heavens, to give the rain of your land in its season and to bless all the work of your hands; and you shall lend to many nations, but you shall not borrowAnd the Lord shall make you the head, and not the tail; and you shall be above only, and you shall not be beneath, if you heed the commandments of the Lord your God which I command you this day and are watchful to do them.”

These two verses contain seven priceless benefits. . .giving you unlimited access to the greatest treasure ever.

This unlimited treasury is available to every believer who follows two simple instructions.  Here are the seven priceless benefits.

1.         You have unlimited access to the treasures of heaven.

Let me put it another way. . .your heavenly treasure has more wealth than King Solomon, King Midas and the world’s 1,645 billionaires combined and tripled.  In fact, all that accumulated wealth would just be chump change when compared to the treasury in heaven to which you have unlimited access.

As I started writing this teaching. . .I was led to Genesis 28:12 which says:

Are You The One

Written by Harold Herring.

About 4:30 this morning God stirred a question in me. . .for you. I’ll get to it in just a few minutes. . .but first.

When God wants to get something done. . .He gives the assignment to one person.

One person committed to a goal. . .His goal. . .their goals is all God needs to change the world.

You may be thinking right now that you do not have what it takes to change the world.

If you entertain those kind of thoughts. . .I want you to know that I think you’re wrong.  The word of God says you’re wrong.  But, most importantly, God thinks you’re wrong.

Every person on planet earth has an assignment unique to them.  Yes, that means YOU.

Order Is The Key To Your Destiny

Written by Harold Herring.

“The world is wrong side up. It needs to be turned upside down in order to be right side up.”   Evangelist Billy Sunday

Perhaps we need to turn our lives right side up to achieve order in our daily existence.

The existence of order in our lives. . .will determine our destiny for good or evil.

Order is defined at dictionary.com as:

“an authoritative direction or instruction; command; mandate; to regulate, conduct, or manage: to order one's life for greater leisure.”

Personally, I prefer the wisdom of Luke 1:1 in the Amplified Bible:

7 Must Read Talking Points For Your Success

Written by Harold Herring.

Ecclesiastes 3:22 in the Contemporary English Version says:

We were meant to enjoy our work, and that's the best thing we can do. We can never know the future.”

According to a recent Gallup workplace study over 70% of American employees DO NOT like their jobs.  That’s not good or for that matter…scriptural.

If we settle for a job just to earn a paycheck. . .with the attitude of doing just enough to get by. . .we’ll never be happy in the job.

To me, it’s real simple. . .if you don’t like what you’re doing or where you’re working. . .stop complaining and do something about it.

Here are seven must read talking points for your success in the workplace or marketplace.

First, stop talking negatively about your supervisor or your job.

Let me ask you a question. . .now be honest. . .have you ever complained about a job, your supervisor or the management of the company?   If so, STOP IT NOW.

When you speak negatively about someone or something. . .you are empowering the enemy to further torment you.

The Enemy Of Your Success

According to most psychological studies regarding worry:

40% of our worries never come to pass.

30% involve past decisions which cannot be changed.

12% of worries focus on the criticism of others who spoke simply because they felt inferior.

10% of our worries are about our health. . .which gets worst with worry.

Finally, 8% of our worries can actually be described as legitimate causes for concern.
