My Future Will Be Better Than My Past

Written by Harold Herring. Posted in Life Strategies

I believe your miracle is at hand.

God spoke early this morning and said something amazingly comforting.

"Your future will be better than your past."

Write this down.

My future will be better than my past.

<<Your Name>>’s future will be better than <<his/her>> past.

Keep confessing that revelation today and in the days to come.

There is no doubt in my mind that the miracle you need to go forward is not somewhere off in the future but present.

You are only one revelation from the miraculous breakthrough you need.

Good News For The Last Days

Written by Harold Herring. Posted in Life Strategies

Miracles are for the hungry.

You are a candidate for miracles.

You are a candidate to receive and work miracles.

“Miracles occur when the faith of man intersects with the ability of God.”

Miracles are not the exclusive purview of the seasoned believer.

I encourage new Christians to start their walk with God by asking Him to do the supernatural.

Why?  It is impossible to continue in the right way without starting in the right way.

John 2:1 in the New King James Version says:

Serving God With Spiritual Gifts

Written by Harold Herring. Posted in Life Strategies

The greatest gifts we’ll ever receive…other than the gift of salvation…aren’t those piled under the Christmas tree or given at your surprise birthday party.

Most of those gifts. . .eventually lose their appeal and sometimes their value.

However, everyone has spiritual gifts that only increase in value and will never go out of style.

John C. Maxwell said:

“When you find your spiritual gift, God will give you an opportunity to use it.”

Of particular focus is the need to use our spiritual gifts.

Spiritual gifts are not given to entertain us.

Spiritual gifts are not given to make you appear as some super saint.

Spiritual gifts are imparted to strengthen individuals and bless the Body of Christ.

Romans 12:1 in the New King James Version says:

Expect God To Move Suddenly

Written by Harold Herring. Posted in Life Strategies

Miracles.

I love hearing about miracles. . .talking and testifying about them.

I love it. . .when we personally experience miracles.

I love writing and teaching about miracles.  In fact, during the past week we’ve talked about miracles on two of our Rich Thoughts For Breakfast calls.

I spend a lot of time ruminating about miracles.  Now ruminating is a good word when it comes to miracles.

Ruminating means:

“think deeply about something; think about, contemplate, consider, meditate on, muse on, mull over, ponder on/over, deliberate about/on, chew on.

My faith is always looking for God's next "suddenly."

When our faith and the ability of God intersect . . .miracles manifest.

Acts 19:11-12 in the New King James Version says:

Money Is For Movement

Written by Harold Herring. Posted in Life Strategies

Over the years we’ve taught that money is for movement.  Money is a magnifier.  Money reveals the heart of the person who possesses it.

Let’s discuss the real purpose of money and how it’s to be used for the building of God’s Kingdom.

Pastor Rick Warren, author of The Purpose Driven Life, said:

“Being reminded about the incredible power of God's love, and living as He intended, is the most powerful motivation to change.”

Living as God intended.

Did God intend for us to spend our lives being broke and living from paycheck to Prozac?  Not at all.

Psalm 112:3 in the King James Versions personalized says:

“Wealth and riches shall be in <<Your Name>> house: and her righteousness endureth forever.”

Proverbs 10:22 in Classic Amplified Bible personalized says:

7 Action Steps To Ignite Your Destiny

Written by Harold Herring. Posted in Life Strategies

What we’re thinking, speaking and planning will never become a reality until we actually act on what we’ve been thinking, speaking and planning.

Here are seven actions to ignite your destiny.

Action # 1     Think about something. . .good.

Proverbs 23:7 says:

“For as he thinketh in his heart, so is he. . .”

Have you ever had someone. . .perhaps your spouse or best friend. . .ask you what you were thinking about. . .only to say “nothing.”

First off, thinking about nothing is not humanly possible.

Second, if it were possible. . .it would be an ignorant. . .if not, unwise thing to do.

Third, let’s never waste time thinking about nothing.

Thinking about nothing. . .is both bad and sad. . because you’ll never know when we’re through thinking about nothing.

Watch Out For Trick Questions

Written by Harold Herring. Posted in Life Strategies

I think there’s one thing we can all agree on.  The devil is a liar.  He’s deceitful and he’d love to cause havoc in your life.

John 8:44 in the Classic Amplified Bible says:

“. . .because there is no truth in him. When he speaks a falsehood, he speaks what is natural to him, for he is a liar [himself] and the father of lies and of all that is false.”

Yes, the devil is a liar but he is also very tricky.

He loves word games.

He loves to pose deceitful questions.

This is nothing new.  He did it to Jesus.

Matthew 4:3 in the King James Versions says:

It's Never Too Late

Written by Harold Herring. Posted in Life Strategies

Nearly five years ago my fine wife Bev and I attended my high school reunion.

I was amazed that we were the only ones not aging.

Laughing.  I’m just kidding.

Probably 90% of those present were retired.  I’m listening to them and wondering how much golf can you play. . .how many fish can you catch. . .how many exercise classes can you attend in one week?

Don’t get me wrong. . .I’m not really against any of those things but I am against rigor mortis of the mind. . .I can’t ignore the assignment God has given me.

Yes, we like to take trips. . .my fine wife is my best friend and she’s the one I want to be with.

However, as long as I have breath in my body I will be glorifying God, terrifying the devil and setting the financial captives free from the bondage of debt and poor thinking.

It’s important to realize that we’re never too old to fulfill God’s destiny for us. It’s an ongoing process … one you never retire from.

I’m not suggesting that we work the rest of our lives but I am encouraging each of us. . .to fulfill God’s assignment for us.

Satanic Strategies Defeated

Written by Harold Herring. Posted in Life Strategies

In political campaigns opposing candidates and their staffs work non-stop trying to figure out how to defeat the other person.

They spend an inordinate amount of time and money trying to locate and exploit any weaknesses personal or political.

We’d like to think campaigns spend more time on how to get their message across to the voters but sadly. . .that’s just not the case.

The sad reality is that more people vote against a candidate than they do for a candidate.   So campaigns work round the clock creating a plan to take out the other candidate or down to defeat.

Make no mistake about it. . .they have a plan. . .and it’s getting you. . .the voter to believe their talking points.

Well, Hell has a plan for you as well.  Hell’s plan is to render you ineffective for service to the Kingdom of God.

And yes, the devil and his demon hordes work round the clock to trip you up.

Activating The Bartimaeus Principle

Written by Harold Herring. Posted in Life Strategies

Do you need a miracle .. a healing. . .physical, mental or spiritual?

If so. . .you must prepare yourself for a miracle.

Here are seven things we should do to prepare for our miracle. . .it’s called the Bartimaeus Principle.

First, position yourself for a miracle.

Mark 10:46 in the New King James Version says:

“Now they came to Jericho. As He went out of Jericho with His disciples and a great multitude, blind Bartimaeus, the son of Timaeus, sat by the road begging.”

Mark does not tell us if Bartimaeus was born blind.

It really doesn’t matter how he became blind. . .the point is. . .he was without sight.

Your Vision For Today

Written by Harold Herring. Posted in Life Strategies

Do you have a plan for today?

Do you have a vision for today?

Proverbs 29:18 in the King James Version says:

“Where there is no vision, the people perish: but he that keepeth the law, happy is he.”

According to Strong’s Concordance the Hebrew word for vision is H2372 and it means:

“vision; vision in an ecstatic state; divine communication”

Even though ecstatic isn’t in the King James Bible. . .dicitonary.com defines it as:

“a state of sudden, intense, overpowering emotion; full of joy, rapturous”

The meaning of the Hebrew word for perish in Proverbs 29:18 is different than you might think.
