Here is tonight's teaching outline.  Join us at 6 PM EST.

First, Sin into salvation.

John 3:16 AMPC

“For God so greatly loved and dearly prized the world that He [even] gave up His only begotten (unique) Son, so that whoever believes in (trusts in, clings to, relies on) Him shall not perish (come to destruction, be lost) but have eternal (everlasting) life.”

2 Corinthians 5:17 KJV

“Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.”

Romans 6:6-12 in the Message Bible:

“Could it be any clearer? Our old way of life was nailed to the cross with Christ, a decisive end to that sin-miserable life—no longer at sin’s every beck and call! What we believe is this: If we get included in Christ’s sin-conquering death, we also get included in his life-saving resurrection. We know that when Jesus was raised from the dead it was a signal of the end of death-as-the-end. Never again will death have the last word. When Jesus died, he took sin down with him, but alive he brings God down to us. From now on, think of it this way: Sin speaks a dead language that means nothing to you; God speaks your mother tongue, and you hang on every word. You are dead to sin and alive to God. That’s what Jesus did.

That means you must not give sin a vote in the way you conduct your lives. Don’t give it the time of day. Don’t even run little errands that are connected with that old way of life. Throw yourselves wholeheartedly and full-time—remember, you’ve been raised from the dead!—into God’s way of doing things. Sin can’t tell you how to live. After all, you’re not living under that old tyranny any longer. You’re living in the freedom of God.”

Acts 16:30-31 NLT

“Then he brought them out and asked, “Sirs, what must I do to be saved?”  They replied, “Believe in the Lord Jesus and you will be saved, along with everyone in your household.”

Second, Sorrow into joy

Isaiah 61:1-3 AMPC

“The Spirit of the Lord God is upon me, because the Lord has anointed and qualified me to preach the Gospel of good tidings to the meek, the poor, and afflicted; He has sent me to bind up and heal the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the [physical and spiritual] captives and the opening of the prison and of the eyes to those who are bound,

2 To proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord [the year of His favor] and the day of vengeance of our God, to comfort all who mourn,

3 To grant [consolation and joy] to those who mourn in Zion—to give them an ornament (a garland or diadem) of beauty instead of ashes, the oil of joy instead of mourning, the garment [expressive] of praise instead of a heavy, burdened, and failing spirit—that they may be called oaks of righteousness [lofty, strong, and magnificent, distinguished for uprightness, justice, and right standing with God], the planting of the Lord, that He may be glorified.”

Psalm 30:11 GWT

“You have changed my sobbing into dancing.  You have removed my sackcloth and clothed me with joy.”

Jeremiah 31:13 KJV

“. . . I will turn their mourning into joy, and will comfort them, and make them rejoice from their sorrow.”

Third, Addiction into redemption.

# 1       Deny The Flesh.

Romans 13:14 AMPC

“But clothe yourself with the Lord Jesus Christ (the Messiah), and make no provision for [indulging] the flesh [put a stop to thinking about the evil cravings of your physical nature] to [gratify its] desires (lusts).”

# 2       Give no place to negative or sinful thoughts.

1 Corinthians 6:18 AMPC

“Shun immorality and all sexual looseness [flee from impurity in thought, word, or deed]. Any other sin which a man commits is one outside the body, but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body.”

# 3       Don’t lose control.

Proverbs 20:1 GWT

“Wine makes people mock, liquor makes them noisy, and everyone under their influence is unwise.”

# 4       God is our deliverer.

Matthew 6:13 AMPC

“And lead (bring) us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one. For Yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Amen.”

# 5       Our goal. . .freedom from sin.

John 8:36 KJV

“If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed.”

# 6       You’re a new creation.

2 Corinthians 5:17 AMPC

“Therefore if any person is [ingrafted] in Christ (the Messiah) he is a new creation (a new creature altogether); the old [previous moral and spiritual condition] has passed away. Behold, the fresh and new has come!”

# 7       Take up the welcome mat.

James 4:7 KJV

“Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.”

James 4:7-10 MSG

“So let God work his will in you. Yell a loud no to the Devil and watch him scamper. Say a quiet yes to God and he’ll be there in no time. Quit dabbling in sin. Purify your inner life. Quit playing the field. Hit bottom, and cry your eyes out. The fun and games are over. Get serious, really serious. Get down on your knees before the Master; it’s the only way you’ll get on your feet.”

Fourth, Heartache into heartwarming.

Psalm 32:10 GWT

“Many heartaches await wicked people, but mercy surrounds those who trust the Lord.”

Psalm 147:3 AMPC

“He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds [curing their pains and their sorrows].”

Luke 4:18 AMPC

“The Spirit of the Lord [is] upon Me, because He has anointed Me [the Anointed One, the Messiah] to preach the good news (the Gospel) to the poor; He has sent Me to announce release to the captives and recovery of sight to the blind, to send forth as delivered those who are oppressed [who are downtrodden, bruised, crushed, and broken down by calamity].”

Psalm 34:18 MSG

“If your heart is broken, you’ll find God right there; if you’re kicked in the gut, he’ll help you catch your breath.”

Psalm 43:5 MSG

“Why are you down in the dumps, dear soul? Why are you crying the blues? my eye’s on God—soon I’ll be praising again.  He puts a smile on my faceHe’s my God.”

Fifth, Loneliness into companionship.

Genesis 2:18 AMPC

“Now the Lord God said, It is not good (sufficient, satisfactory) that the man should be alone; I will make him a helper (suitable, adapted, complementary) for him.”

Matthew 28:20 AMPC

“Teaching them to observe everything that I have commanded you, and behold, I am with you all the days (perpetually, uniformly, and on every occasion), to the [very] close and consummation of the age. Amen (so let it be).”

John 14:16 AMPC

“And I will ask the Father, and He will give you another Comforter (Counselor, Helper, Intercessor, Advocate, Strengthener, and Standby), that He may remain with you forever.”

Here are seven ways to deal with loneliness.

First, understand the problem.

Second, accept what cannot be changed….death of spouse, moving away from friend or a change of personnel in your workplace.

Third, change what can be changed….reach out…beyond your own needs to help someone else.

Fourth, create new habits.  A new routine or approach to life creates a freshness.

Fifth, make an effort to meet new friends….one person each Sunday…common interests…go slowly in the new friendship. . .don’t smother the person.

Sixth, get a pet, maybe…I realize this may not be for everyone especially, if you’re having trouble making ends meet…the last thing you need is to increase your expenses.

Seventh, spend more time with your best friend and I’m not talking about the person you’ve known all your life. . .or the one you go shopping with.  I’m talking about the friend who will never leave you nor forsake you.

Jeremiah 33:3 KJV

“Call to me, and I will answer you. . .”

Sixth, sickness into health.

Matthew 8:16-17 KJV

“When evening had come, they brought to Him many who were demon-possessed. And He cast out the spirits with a word, and healed all who were sick, that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Isaiah the prophet, saying: "He Himself took Fred’s infirmities and bore Fred’s sicknesses."

Exodus 23:25-26 (Paraphrased).

“So Al shall serve the LORD his God, and He will bless Al’s bread and his water. And I will take sickness away from the midst of Al. No one shall suffer miscarriage or be barren in your land; I will fulfill the number of Al’s days.”

Psalm 107:20 (personalized)

“He sent His word and healed Randy and Laurel, and delivered them from their destruction.”

1 Peter 2:24 (personalized) says:

"Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that Ruth, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes Ruth is healed."

Seventh, Poverty into prosperity.

Luke 1:37 AMPC

“For with God nothing is ever impossible and no word from God shall be without power or impossible of fulfillment.”

Job 36:15 KJV

“He delivereth the poor in his affliction, and openeth their ears in oppression.”

Deuteronomy 15:4-5 AMPC

“But there will be no poor among you, for the Lord will surely bless you in the land which the Lord your God gives you for an inheritance to possess, If only you carefully listen to the voice of the Lord your God, to do watchfully all these commandments which I command you this day.”

Psalm 35:27 KJV

“Let them shout for joy, and be glad, that favour my righteous cause: yea, let them say continually, Let the Lord be magnified, which hath pleasure in the prosperity of his servant.”

Psalm 35:27 KJV

“Let Robert shout for joy, and be glad, he favours my righteous cause: yea, let him say continually, Let the Lord be magnified, which hath pleasure in the prosperity of Robert, his servant.”

Psalm 84:11 AMPC

“For the Lord God is a Sun and Shield; the Lord bestows [present] grace and favor and [future] glory (honor, splendor, and heavenly bliss)! No good thing will He withhold from Larry and Gena who walk uprightly.”

Deuteronomy 28:11-12 KJV

11 And the Lord shall make you have a surplus of prosperity, through the fruit of your body, of your livestock, and of your ground, in the land which the Lord swore to your fathers to give you. “12 The Lord shall open to you His good treasury, the heavens, to give the rain of your land in its season and to bless all the work of your hands; and you shall lend to many nations, but you shall not borrow.

Mark 1:15 AMPC

“And saying, The [appointed period of] time is fulfilled (completed), and the kingdom of God is at hand; repent (have a change of mind which issues in regret for past sins and in change of conduct for the better) and believe (trust in, rely on, and adhere to) the good news (the Gospel).”

Mark 1:15 MSG

“He said, “The time has come, and the kingdom of God is near. Change the way you think and act, and believe the Good News.”

Proverbs 3:5-6 NIV

"Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding
