Here is the teaching outline for SUNDAY NITE LIVE.
Philippians 2:3 AMPC
“Do nothing from factional motives [through contentiousness, strife, selfishness, or for unworthy ends] or prompted by conceit and empty arrogance. Instead, in the true spirit of humility (lowliness of mind) let each regard the others as better than and superior to himself [thinking more highly of one another than you do of yourselves].
1. Do nothing from factional motives.
Matthew 20:26 CEV
“But don't act like them. If you want to be great, you must be the servant of all the others.”
Mark 10:43 CEV
“But don't act like them. If you want to be great, you must be the servant of all the others.”
Matthew 23:11 KJV
“But he that is greatest among you shall be your servant.”
2. Do nothing through contentiousness.
S…Stop
A…Acting
L…Like
T…Them
The best way to Stop Acting Like Them is not to allow yourselves to become argumentative even in self-defense.
2 Timothy 2:22 MSG
“Run away from infantile indulgence. Run after mature righteousness—faith, love, peace—joining those who are in honest and serious prayer before God. Refuse to get involved in inane discussions; they always end up in fights. God's servant must not be argumentative. . .”
3. Do nothing through strife.
James 3:16 KJV
“For where envying and strife is, there is confusion and every evil work.”
Colossians 3:21 AMPC
“Fathers, do not provoke or irritate or fret your children [do not be hard on them or harass them], lest they become discouraged and sullen and morose and feel inferior and frustrated. [Do not break their spirit.]”
4. Do nothing selfishness.
Matthew 16:24 NLT
“Then Jesus said to his disciples, “If any of you wants to be my follower, you must turn from your selfish ways, take up your cross, and follow me.”
Mark 8:34 NLT
“Then, calling the crowd to join his disciples, he said, “If any of you wants to be my follower, you must turn from your selfish ways, take up your cross, and follow me.”
Luke 9:23 NLT
“Then he said to the crowd, “If any of you wants to be my follower, you must turn from your selfish ways, take up your cross daily, and follow me.”
Philippians 2:4 AMPC
“Let each of you esteem and look upon and be concerned for not [merely] his own interests, but also each for the interests of others.”
Your thoughts and actions will either be dominated by your flesh
5. Do nothing for unworthy ends.
Ephesians 4:1 AMPC
“I THEREFORE, the prisoner for the Lord, appeal to and beg you to walk (lead a life) worthy of the [divine] calling to which you have been called [with behavior that is a credit to the summons to God's service.”
2 Thessalonians 1:11 AMPC
“With this in view we constantly pray for you, that our God may deem and count you worthy of [your] calling and [His] every gracious purpose of goodness, and with power may complete in [your] every particular work of faith (faith which is that leaning of the whole human personality on God in absolute trust and confidence in His power, wisdom, and goodness.”
Matthew 10:11 CEV
“So when you go to a town or a village, find someone worthy enough to have you as their guest and stay with them until you leave.”
6. Do nothing through conceit.
Proverbs 16:5 CEV
“The LORD doesn't like anyone who is conceited-- you can be sure they will be punished.”
Proverbs 16:5 AMPC
“Everyone proud and arrogant in heart is disgusting, hateful, and exceedingly offensive to the Lord; be assured [I pledge it] they will not go unpunished.”
7. Do nothing through empty arrogance.
Here are seven things you need to know about being arrogant.
1. Arrogance will always be exposed.
1 Samuel 2:3 NLT
“Stop acting so proud and haughty! Don’t speak with such arrogance! For the Lord is a God who knows what you have done; he will judge your actions.”
2. Arrogant people always lie.
Psalm 59:12 NLT
“Because of the sins from their mouths and the words on their lips. Let them be trapped by their own arrogance because they speak curses and lies.”
3. Arrogance aborts wisdom from your life.
Proverbs 13:10 NLT
“Arrogance produces only quarreling, but those who take advice gain wisdom.”
4. Arrogance knows no boundaries.
Proverbs 21:24 NLT
“An arrogant, conceited person is called a mocker. His arrogance knows no limits.”
5. Arrogance at any level must be arrested.
2 Corinthians 10:5 NLT
“And all their intellectual arrogance that oppose the knowledge of God. We take every thought captive so that it is obedient to Christ.”
6. Arrogance hangs out with some pretty nasty folks.
Mark 7:22 NLT
“Greed, wickedness, cheating, shameless lust, envy, cursing, arrogance, and foolishness come from within a person.”
7. Wealth without a moral center.
Ezekiel 28:5 CEV
“You're a clever businessman and are extremely wealthy, but your wealth has led to arrogance!”
Philippians 2:1-4 MSG
“If you've gotten anything at all out of following Christ, if his love has made any difference in your life, if being in a community of the Spirit means anything to you, if you have a heart, if you care— then do me a favor:
“Agree with each other, love each other, be deep-spirited friends. Don't push your way to the front; don't sweet-talk your way to the top.
“Put yourself aside, and help others get ahead. Don't be obsessed with getting your own advantage. Forget yourselves long enough to lend a helping hand.”
I want to challenge you to make these confessions for the first seven days of March.
March 1st
“Heavenly Father, l praise you that in this New Year, 2020. . .I’m headed where Your Word declares I can go . . . toward success, prosperity and the good life. I praise you that as the days of this year unfold, I will be writing a daily story of success and triumph in overcoming every obstacle . . . a man or the enemy places in my path. I thank you that when any problem or temporary setback comes my way, you will immediately give me specific solutions in my spirit so any attempted defeats can be turned into victories. I rejoice as I commit my actions to you . . . because my plans will succeed according to Proverbs 16:3. I praise you in advance that I will have 20/20 vision through the direction and the unction of the Holy Spirit. In the mighty Name of Jesus. Amen”
March 2nd
“Heavenly Father, I thank you that whatever I ask in prayer and believe that I receive, it will be granted to me according to Mark 11:23-24. I rejoice that you empower me to overcome every attack of the enemy. You infuse me with inner strength allowing me to be self-sufficient in your sufficiency as found in the words of Philippians 4:13 AMPC.
“Father, Your Word says that if I believe on you . . . and I do, that I shall do the greater works. I rejoice all things are possible to those who believe and I believe according to John 14:12.
“Lord, I’m ready to shout because nothing is impossible to me and no word from you is impossible of fulfillment” according to the words in Luke 1:37.
“And, I call all this done in the strong name of Jesus. Amen.”
March 3rd
Heavenly Father, in the strong Name of Jesus, I rejoice that in 2020:
Debt is disappearing.
Lack is leaving
Poverty is fleeing
Faith is increasing
Money is multiplying
Wealth is accumulating
Generosity is growing
“I thank you, Lord, that I have more than enough to meet all my needs. I thank you that today I will be receiving unexpected checks, gifts and money.
“I thank you for stirring creative ideas within me. I thank you for opening new avenues of revenue in my life. I thank you I walk in the wisdom and favor of my Heavenly Father.
“I thank you that this day you will provide divine appointments and supernatural connections for me. I thank you in advance, Heavenly Father, for all these things and I give you the glory and honor as I await with anticipation the manifestation of your power, promotion and protection this day. In the strong Name of Jesus.”
March 4th
“Heavenly Father, this year the enemy’s sinister efforts to steal my harvests, rob me of my dreams and devour my financial success and destiny are in my rear-view mirror. In the strong name of Jesus, I bind him and every one of his strategies according to Matthew 18:18 which declares my right … my inheritance as a born-again child of God. I command Satan to release my harvests. I’m serving him notice that according to Proverbs 6:31 to release my sevenfold return on all he’s ever stolen or is even now trying to steal from me. Release my harvests now. . .in the powerful Name and authority of Jesus. Amen.”
March 5th
“Father, in the name of Jesus, I command this Holy Spirit led-seed to go where I tell it to go. . .to do what I tell it to do. . .I speak that it will not return void according to Isaiah 55:10-11 and Galatians 6:7-9. In the strong Name of Jesus, by the authority of the Word in Matthew 16:19 which says that whatever is bound on earth is bound in heaven, I bind any and every hindering spirit that would seek crop failure for the precious seed I’m sowing. The Word says in John 16:23 that whatever I ask in Your Name . . . you will give it to me. Father, just as you planned for the farmer to expect a harvest from seed sown into the ground, I’m claiming my mega harvest over the seed I’ve sown. I’m standing in expectation for an immediate bumper crop harvest. In the Name of Jesus, I pray. Amen.
March 6th
“Heavenly Father, I’m calling out, exposing and cursing these twelve sin tactics of the enemy. In the strong name of Jesus, I bind sin, fear, debt, sickness, lack, greed, addictions, anger, hurt, depression, sexual sin and hopelessness. By the authority of the Word and through the blood of Jesus I’m binding these Dirty Dozen sins out of my life and the environment in which I live and must operate.
Lord, I rejoice because your desire for me is freedom! For whom the Son sets free… is FREE INDEED. I rejoice because you are with me. I rejoice you will never leave me nor forsake me. I rejoice I will not fear anyone or anything . . . because you are on my side. I call this done and done in the mighty Name of Jesus. Amen.” Romans 8:31-32; Mark 10:45; Deuteronomy 31:6; Hebrews 13:5
March 7th
"Heavenly Father, I thank you [date] will be the greatest [day of the week] of my life . . . a day filled with possibilities beyond my imagination and expectation. A day filled with previously unknown opportunities, previously unused potential, revelatory insight and divine connections. My desire is for You to be glorified in everything I do on [day, date]. In the mighty Name of Jesus. Amen."
