Proverbs 23: 7 KJV

“As a man thinketh so is he…”

2 Corinthians 10: 3-5 KJV

For though we live in the world, we do not wage war as the world does. The weapons we fight with are not the weapons of the world. On the contrary, they have divine power to demolish strongholds. We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ.”

Marcus Aurelius once said:

Our life is what our thoughts make it.”

Ralph Waldo Emerson said:

“Man is what he thinks.”

Matthew 12:34 KJV

“. . .for out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaketh.”

Matthew 12:34 AMPC

“For out of the fullness (the overflow, the [superabundance) of the heart the mouth speaks.”

Matthew 12:34 NLT

“For whatever is in your heart determines what you say.”

One of my favorite African proverbs says:

“If there is no enemy within, the enemy without can do you no harm.”

Romans 12:2 KJV

“And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.”

Conformed in the Strong’s Concordance is word “4964” and it means:

“1) to conform one's self (i.e. one's mind and character) to another's pattern,”

are not getting, we will have to reprogram our minds according to what we want.

Romans 7:15, 18-21; 23-25 NLT

I don’t really understand myself, for I want to do what is right, but I don’t do it. Instead, I do what I hate. And I know that nothing good lives in me, that is, in my sinful nature. I want to do what is right, but I can’t. I want to do what is good, but I don’t. I don’t want to do what is wrong, but I do it anyway. But if I do what I don’t want to do, I am not really the one doing wrong; it is sin living in me that does it. I have discovered this principle of life—that when I want to do what is right, I inevitably do what is wrong. But there is another power within me that is at war with my mind. This power makes me a slave to the sin that is still within me. Oh, what a miserable person I am! Who will free me from this life that is dominated by sin and death? Thank God! The answer is in Jesus Christ our Lord. So you see how it is: In my mind I really want to obey God’s law, but because of my sinful nature I am a slave to sin.”

Romans 8:1-2

“So now there is no condemnation to those who belong to Christ Jesus. Because through Christ Jesus the law of the Spirit who gives life has set you free from the law of sin and death.”

Romans 12:2 AMPC

“Do not be conformed to this world (this age), [fashioned after and adapted to its external, superficial customshttp://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Philippians%204:6-9;&version=9;45;51;46;65;#fen-KJV-en-AMP-29448c">c]garrison and mount guard over your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.

8For the rest, brethren, whatever is true, whatever is worthy of reverence and is honorable and seemly, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely and lovable, whatever is kind and winsome and gracious, if there is any virtue and excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think on and weigh and take account of these things [fix your minds on them].

9Practice what you have learned and received and heard and seen in me, and model your way of living on it, and the God of peace (of untroubled, undisturbed well-being) will be with you.”

Philippians 4:6-9 NLT

“Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done. 7 Then you will experience God’s peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus.

8 And now, dear brothers and sisters, one final thing. Fix your thoughts (which means they won’t always be fixed unless you fixed them) on what is true, and honorable, and right, and pure, and lovely, and admirable. Think about things that are excellent and worthy of praise. 9 Keep putting into practice all you learned and received from me—everything you heard from me and saw me doing. Then the God of peace will be with you.”

Hebrews 12:2 KJV

“Looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.”

Ephesians 4:23  in the New Living Translation says

“Instead, let the Spirit renew your thoughts and attitudes.”

Never at any time get yourself into a negative state of mind, or allow a friend to lead you

1 Chronicles 28:9 NIV

"And you, my son Solomon, acknowledge the God of your father, and serve him with wholehearted devotion and with a willing mind, for the LORD searches every heart and understands every motive behind the thoughts. If you seek him, he will be found by you; but if you forsake him, he will reject you forever.”

Revelation 2:23 NLT

“. . . Then all the churches will know that I am the one who searches out the thoughts and intentions of every person. And I will give to each of you whatever you deserve.”
