In political campaigns opposing candidates and their staffs work non-stop trying to figure out how to defeat the other person.
They spend an inordinate amount of time and money trying to locate and exploit any weaknesses personal or political.
We’d like to think campaigns spend more time on how to get their message across to the voters but sadly. . .that’s just not the case.
The sad reality is that more people vote against a candidate than they do for a candidate. So campaigns work round the clock creating a plan to take out the other candidate or down to defeat.
Make no mistake about it. . .they have a plan. . .and it’s getting you. . .the voter to believe their talking points.
Well, Hell has a plan for you as well. Hell’s plan is to render you ineffective for service to the Kingdom of God.
And yes, the devil and his demon hordes work round the clock to trip you up.
However, the great news is that Heaven has a plan for you. . .which will destroy the plans of hell.
2 Timothy 2:26 in The Living Bible says:
“Then they will come to their senses and escape from Satan’s trap of slavery to sin, which he uses to catch them whenever he likes, and then they can begin doing the will of God.”
Our role is living in faith and confessing our desired result.
Everything we need to live in victory has been provided for us.
Each and every satanic strategy and weapon deployed against us will fall and fail . . . before the spoken Word of God.
Psalm 25:15 in the New Living Translation says:
“My eyes are always on the Lord, for he rescues me from the traps of my enemies.”
Today we’re going to expose three satanic strategies and how to defeat them.
1) The Curse Of Non-Productivity Is Broken.
Isaiah 54:1 in the New Living Translation says:
“Sing, O childless woman, you who have never given birth! Break into loud and joyful song, O Jerusalem, you who have never been in labor. For the desolate woman now has more children than the woman who lives with her husband,” says the Lord..”
Labor without achievement can be destructive.
Many Christians are frustrated today because it seems as if their labor is producing little fruit.
I believe the Holy Spirit knew we would need to be encouraged during this extremely challenging season.
My spirit registers with the idea that we are achieving far more than the natural seems to reveal.
I’m reminded of the story of the Chinese bamboo tree which must be watered and properly fertilized.
Yet you can’t see any growth in the first year. . .the second year. . .the third year. . .or the fourth year. It’s not until the fifth year that you can see any growth in the bamboo tree.
Are you ready for this? In the fifth year, the bamboo tree will grow from being invisible to 90 feet in just 6 weeks.
However, if during any of the five years. . .the owner got frustrated because he saw no growth and stopped watering and fertilizing the tree. . .it would have died.
During the five years, underneath the ground, an enormous network of roots are developing to support the bamboo’s sudden growth.
Every drop of water and every ounce of fertilizer makes a difference.
Growth takes patience and perseverance.
Two observations from this story. . .
First, every step you take in faith makes a difference. Faithfulness brings rewards.
Second, there is more taking place in your life than your natural eye can possibly see. Like the bamboo tree. . .growth is taking place in your life. . .even though it’s not visible to you.
It’s also important to understand that significant things happen each day but we must keep our faith strong and push back against the flood of bad news invading planet earth.
Isaiah 54:2-3 in the New King James Version says:
“Enlarge the place of your tent, And let them stretch out the curtains of your dwellings;
Do not spare; Lengthen your cords, And strengthen your stakes. 3 For you shall expand to the right and to the left, And your descendants will inherit the nations, And make the desolate cities inhabited.”
As I was writing this teaching. . .I felt the Spirit of the Lord gave me a word for each of you. Actually, it’s three words.
PREPARE TO GROW.
You may feel. . .that you’ve been making little progress toward the fulfillment of your dreams. . .but. . .PREPARE TO GROW.
That’s exactly what a bamboo tree is doing. . .preparing to grow.
We must fully realize that times of seeming lack are created to destroy spiritual vision and stop natural effort from going forth.
I am sure we all know this but we cannot allow natural circumstances to stop our faithfulness in the Kingdom of God. Nor can we allow them to steal our dreams.
Today is always the time to go from being unproductive to highly productive for the Kingdom of God.
By the way, meditate on PREPARE TO GROW and what it means for your life.
2) The Curse of Living in Lack…is Broken.
Isaiah 53:10 in the New Living Translation says:
“But it was the Lord’s good plan to crush him and cause him grief. Yet when his life is made an offering for sin, he will have many descendants. He will enjoy a long life, and the Lord’s good plan will prosper in his hands.”
The Father's love for us is an amazing thing.
Jesus was bruised and broken to heal our hurts.
The language of verse 10 never fails to move my heart.
In fact, let’s personalize the last sentence in verse 10.
“<<Your Name>> will enjoy a long life, and the Lord’s good plan will prosper in <<his/her>> hands.”
The love our Heavenly Father has for each of us. . .His children. . .is an inspiring thing.
The Father allowed that His only Son suffer to alleviate our suffering.
The soul of Jesus was offered as the ransom to purchase us back from hell.
Jesus is seeing the prophecy of Isaiah come to pass: His Seed...the church...is expanding.
His faithful children are growing spiritually. . .moving from lack to surplus.
Psalm 84:11 in the Classic Amplified Bible says:
“For the Lord God is a Sun and Shield; the Lord bestows [present] grace and favor and [future] glory (honor, splendor, and heavenly bliss)! No good thing will He withhold from those who walk uprightly.”
The things that pleased the Father are prospering through His children.
Psalm 35:27 in the Classic Amplified Bible says:
“Let those who favor my righteous cause and have pleasure in my uprightness shout for joy and be glad and say continually, Let the Lord be magnified, Who takes pleasure in the prosperity of His servant.”
3) The Curse Of Destructive Words Is Broken.
Isaiah 54:17 in the New King James Version says:
“No weapon formed against you shall prosper, And every tongue which rises against you in judgment You shall condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD,
And their righteousness is from Me,” Says the LORD.”
Words build up.
Words tear down.
Words can set the world aflame.
The spoken strategies of hell arrayed against us will fall.
I strongly suggest you begin to confess the personalized translation of Isaiah 54:17 which says:
“No weapon formed against <<YourName>> shall prosper, And every tongue which rises against <<him/her>> in judgment You shall condemn. This is the heritage of <<YourName>> a servant of the LORD, And <<his/her>> righteousness is from Me,” Says the LORD.”
But our faith and obedience will play a key role in our prosperity.
These strategies of the enemy will fail when we speak what we believe...rather than speaking what we see.
Wow. . .I need to say that again.
