Destined For Manifest Victory

. .

Heaven is a place that words cannot describe.

I have a really good friend, Dr. Roberts Liardon, the author of the God’s Generals series who went to heaven at the age of 8.  The things he shared in his book “I Saw Heaven” are amazing and thought-provoking.

I’m sure we’re all looking forward to spending an eternity in heaven.  I’m excited about heaven but frankly I’m not ready to go yet…I still have a God-given vision to fulfill.

But one day. . .someday soon. . .in the twinkling of an eye. . .I’ll be gone.

I’m excited because I’ve got a first class ticket.  Can you imagine the view we’ll have as we’re going up?

I must admit that I might even look around to see who’s going up with me and maybe who’s not.

Should I die before the rapture. . .talk about a glorious transition.

I might also tell you that I’m excited about the welcoming committee.  No doubt, friends and family members who’ve gone on before. . .will be waiting.

But, I am not in heaven today.  I am here on planet earth.  With things to do before I sleep.

I am here dealing with some real, sometimes complicated issues and overcoming every attack of the enemy.

Heaven is the ultimate destiny of every born again believer.

However, today we’re going to talk about another destiny you have awaiting you. . .it’s called: Victory!

I stay motivated because I know something special:  God desires that I live in victory every day of my life.

1 John 5:4 in the Amplified Bible, Classic Edition says:

“For whatever is born of God is victorious over the world; and this is the victory that conquers the world, even our faith.”

Not only does God desire that we live in victory. . .He gives us the victory over adversity that we will face while on planet earth.

Psalm 8:3-4 in the New King James Version says:

“When I consider Your heavens, the work of Your fingers, The moon and the stars, which You have ordained, 4 What is man that You are mindful of him, And the son of man that You visit him?”

In verse four the Hebrew word H2142 zakar (za hair) is translated into English as mindful. I believe zakar can also be rendered as "merciful thoughts."

In light of these informational tidbits I’m going to offer my "take" on verse four:

"What is imperfect man that you have merciful thoughts toward him?"

When David considered the greatness of the solar system he also pondered the incredible abilities of God.

God's thoughts toward you today are of peace, plenty and power and so much more.

1 Peter 5:7 in The Living Bible says:

“Let him have all your worries and cares, for he is always thinking about you and watching everything that concerns you.”

He is “always thinking about you.”

Not only that but He is “watching everything that concerns you.”

Can somebody say “Hallelujah”?  You need to stop and really embrace that.

One of my favorite scriptures is Psalm 40:17 in The Living Bible which says:

I am poor and weak, yet the Lord is thinking about me right now!”

I want you to write down the last part of Psalm 40:17.

“. . .the Lord is thinking about me right now.”

Personalize it.

“. . .the Lord is thinking about <<Name>> right now.”

He desires that you fulfill the dream He has placed within you.  That’s why He’s thinking about you.

God’s desire is to bless you for a purpose.

2 Corinthians 9:8 in the Amplified Bible, Classic Edition says:

“And God is able to make all grace (every favor and earthly blessing) come to you in abundance, so that you may always and under all circumstances and whatever the need be self-sufficient [possessing enough to require no aid or support and furnished in abundance for every good work and charitable donation].”

Your earthly destiny is manifest victory.

Psalm 8:5 in the New King James Version says:

“For You have made him a little lower than the angels, And You have crowned him with glory and honor.”

Verse five is hotly debated by scholars.

Some teach that man is simply of a "lower" creation than angels.

I do not believe this argument at all.  Man is God's greatest’s creation.

Angels cannot be saved.  Salvation was created for humans who would receive.

God did not give the angels dominion over the earth. . .but He did man.

Genesis 1:26 in the Amplified Bible, Classic Edition says:

“God said, Let Us [Father, Son, and Holy Spirit] make mankind in Our image, after Our likeness, and let them have complete authority over the fish of the sea, the birds of the air, the [tame] beasts, and over all of the earth, and over everything that creeps upon the earth.”

The New Living Translation of Genesis 1:26 says:

“Then God said, “Let us make human beings in our image, to be like us. . .”

We have been given dominion over ALL the earth.

Psalm 8:6-8 in the New King James Version says:

“You have made him to have dominion over the works of Your hands; You have put all things under his feet, 7 All sheep and oxen—Even the beasts of the field, 8 The birds of the air, And the fish of the sea that pass through the paths of the seas. “

Dominion means the power of governing and exercising authority.

Let me clear this one up for everyone:  Dominion belongs to the church.

The church is made up of individuals.  Therefore, we (individual believers) have been given dominion.

For the church. . .for you and I. . .this a good day.

It is a day for you each of us to break through the barriers that have been holding us back.

It is a day of living in victory.

It is a day of forgiving others.

It is a day of seeking forgiveness ourselves.

It is a day of seeing the power of God manifest.

It is a day to manifest the fullness of God and our completion in Him.

The question for this and every other day is, "What will we do with it?"

Psalm 115:16 in the Message Bible says:

“May you be blessed by God, by God, who made heaven and earth. The heaven of heavens is for God, but he put us in charge of the earth.”

Dominion.

Genesis 1:26 in the New King James Version says:

“Then God said, “Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness; let them have dominion over. . .” everything.

We are to live in and exercise dominion over everything on planet earth.

Genesis 1:26 in The Living Bible says it this way:

Then God said, “Let us make a man—someone like ourselves, to be the master of all life upon the earth and in the skies and in the seas.”

We are to live in supreme authority on the earth.

The spirit realm...both the good and evil realms...are under the authority of our Lord.

This authority over the entirety of earth...and the related spirit realm...has been given to us... The Church.

We are to govern the earth and make it a safe, peaceful, productive place filled with blessing for all.

Psalm 8:9 in the New King James Version says:

“O LORD, our Lord, How excellent is Your name in all the earth!”

There is no Name above the name of Jesus.

Within that Majestic Name is the work of dominion.

Demons bow and destiny manifests through His Name.

The words we speak create the climate in which we will thrive or decline.

The words we speak will determine whether we’re blessed or cursed.

The words we speak determine whether we walk by faith or by sight.

We need to make a conscious effort to speak words of faith over our lives today.

Will you make an effort to define your destiny based on the Word of God?

Always remember. . .you’re destined for victory.

Heaven is a place that words cannot describe.
