Do you need to change your diet?

I’m not talking about what you put in your body…but what you’re putting in your mind.

If you’re feeding yourself a steady strength of negative programming on TV, the internet or newspapers. . .then you need to change what you’re consuming.. . or else you’ll have to deal with mental and spiritual indigestion.

It’s time to increase your intake of things that are healthier for you.

In the natural, that would be fruits and vegetables.

In the mental realm, you need to be reading the right books and listening to the right CDs.

Albert Einstein once said:

“If you feed your mind as often as you feed your stomach, then you’ll never have to worry about feeding your stomach or a roof over your head or clothes on your back.”

Ephesians 4:23 in the New Living Translation says:

“Instead, let the Spirit renew your thoughts and attitudes.”

The Word gives you very specific instructions on what your attitude should be.

Philippians 2:5 in the New Living Translation says:

“You must have the same attitude that Christ Jesus had.”.

When you’re on the right kind of diet. . .feeding on His Word. . .you’re positioning yourself to experience what John 10:10 in the New Living Translation calls “a rich and satisfying life.”

The Message Bible translation of Proverbs 24:14 says:

“Likewise knowledge, and wisdom for your soul—Get that and your future's secured, your hope is on solid rock.”

Your future is secured by what you feed on… is it time to change your diet?
