5 Promises To Make You Shout!

. .

To say that we live in a negative society would be a gross understatement of the facts.

The world is filled with negativity.  If you doubt it. . .just wait. . .the news media will make sure you realize just how negative things are.

I’m sure you probably encounter negative people in your workplace and at church.

Yes, even the House of God has some nattering nabobs of negativism.

I deal with negative people each day. . .on a variety of levels. . .some upset . . . some confused. . .why there situation isn’t better than it is.

Just doing business requires hearing from disgruntled people.

Yes, these are tough days and many of listeners are struggling.

But as the Andre Crouch song Through It All says:

“I've had many tears and sorrows,

I've had questions for tomorrow,

There's been times I didn't know right from wrong.

But in every situation,

God gave me blessed consolation,

That my trials come to only make me strong....

“Through it all

Through it all

I’ve learned to trust in Jesus

I’ve learned to trust in God

I’ve learned to trust in His Word

Through it all”

Now that sounds like a great reason to never be negative. . .again.

While I’m not pleased with the direction of the United States (and neither are 65% of Americans). . .I’m not negative about the future of our nation.

Many people feel the best days of this nation are behind us and the entire world will continue in a state of decline.

I don’t feel that way.

God's arm has not been shortened.  He can reach us where we are.

Our faith is set for increase.  Why?  We’re tithers and givers.

Yes, we are living at the end of the age...and that is good.

Here are Five Promises For The Church that will make you SHOUT!!

1)  Reaping Will Outpace Sowing.

Amos 9:13 in the Classic Amplified Bible says:

“Behold, the days are coming, says the Lord, that the plowman shall overtake the reaper, and the treader of grapes him who sows the seed; and the mountains shall drop sweet wine and all the hills shall melt [that is, everything heretofore barren and unfruitful shall overflow with spiritual blessing].”

We’re Seed-Sowing believers.

We understand the laws of the harvest.

What we sow we will reap.

Galatians 6:7 in the Amplified Bible says:

“Do not be deceived and deluded and misled; God will not allow Himself to be sneered at (scorned, disdained, or mocked by mere pretensions or professions, or by His precepts being set aside.) [He inevitably deludes himself who attempts to delude God.] For whatever a man sows, that and that only is what he will reap.”

Notice how the Bible says: “What you sow that and that only is what you will reap.”

There is also the spiritual law of release which says that you must be willing to release for increase.

Proverbs 11:24-25 in the King James Version says:

“The is [he] that scattereth, and yet increaseth; and there is [he] that withholdeth more than is meet, but it tendeth to poverty.”

It’s interesting to me and certainly worthy of note that the word increase appears in the King James Version of the Bible a total of 147 times.

By comparison the word prayer is in the King James Version of the Bible a total of 128 times.

While I’m certainly not minimizing the importance of prayer I’m simply saying that to minimize the importance of increase would also be a mistake.

Increase is obviously important to God so it should be important to us as well.

God wants us to increase in all our hands find to do (Matthew 25).  He doesn’t want us standing still or just getting by. . .He’s looking for increase.

Psalm 115:14 says:

“The LORD shall increase you more and more, you and your children.”

Our increase comes through our obedience to His spiritual laws.

Proverbs 11:24-25 in the New Living Translation says:

“Give freely and become more wealthy; be stingy and lose everything. 25 The generous will prosper; those who refresh others will themselves be refreshed.”

Do you need a refreshing in light of all the negativity around you?  Then be a giver.

Be encouraged. . .there is a season coming when the accumulated blessing of sowing will come into manifestation.

2)  The Anointing Of The Holy Spirit Will Flow Freely Through The People Of God.

Amos 9:13 b in the New King James Version says:

“The mountains shall drip with sweet wine, And all the hills shall flow with it.”

I believe this could well be a dual reference verse.

The Church, the people of Mount Zion, will be overflowed with God's best blessings.

The mountains, symbolic of the problems of life, will be eroded by the flow of the Holy Spirit.

Amos 9:13(b) in the Classic Amplified Bible says:

“. . .and the mountains shall drop sweet wine and all the hills shall melt [that is, everything heretofore barren and unfruitful shall overflow with spiritual blessing].”

You may have been in a dry place. . .mentally, financially and spiritually. . .but things are going to change.

The flowing anointing is about to overflow you with all spiritual blessings.

Ephesians 1:3 in the New Living Translation says:

“All praise to God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly realms because we are united with Christ.”

3)  Bondage Of All Kinds Will Be Broken And Believers Will Be Released.

Amos 9:14 in the New King James Bible says:

“I will bring back the captives of My people Israel. . .”

Israel is a typology of the church.

Fallen believers will be restored during this outpouring.

No disrespect intended, but I have family members living in bondage.

This is not a time to give up but a time to press deeper and believe God for the outpouring we all crave.

4)  Fruitless Seasons Will Be A Thing of The Past.

Amos 9:14b in the New King James Bible says:

“They shall build the waste cities and inhabit them; They shall plant vineyards and drink wine from them; they shall also make gardens and eat fruit from them.”

Do you ever have days when you work furiously but seem to produce little?

I know what that is like.  There are times when my efforts seem to produce no measurable results.

My advice and encouragement to myself is to remain faithful.  This situation cannot last forever.

We have the promise of God!  My faith is set that we will see these promises manifest during our lifetime.

5)  The Faithful Will Be Established As Never Before.

Amos 9:15 in the New King James Version says:

“I will plant them in their land, And no longer shall they be pulled up From the land I have given them,” Says the LORD your God.”

The church is under assault around the world.

Satan is attempting to uproot the planting of the Lord.

He will not prevail.  We will not be pulled up nor cast away.

The land that has been given us is ours because we are heirs according to the promise given by our Father.

During seasons of perpetual bad news, please stir your faith.

Remember. . .

Hebrews 11:6 says:

“…without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently (carefully) seek him.”

Now let’s go a little further.

Hebrews 11:1 in the Amplified Bible says:

“Now faith is the assurance (the confirmation, the title deed) of the things [we] hope for, being the proof of things [we] do not see and the conviction of their reality [faith perceiving as real fact what is not revealed to the senses].”

Please notice that the thing “hoped for” is invisible, but faith is the evidence that makes it real.

According to Strong’s Concordance the Greek word for hoped for is elpiz┼Ź (G1679) and it means:

“trust, hoped”

The Greek word for hoped for is in the King James Version of the Bible a total of 35 times in 31 verses and it’s translated trust.

Trust carries a stronger connotation than hope

When you trust something is going to happen. . .you’re confident.  When you hope for something to happen. . .you’re not sure.

We can trust in the Lord to see us through every negative situation we may be facing.

Yes, we’re living in a negative environment BUT GOD. . .BUT OUR FAITH IN GOD makes visible the reality of His promises being fulfilled in our lives beginning today. . .regardless of what’s happening around us.

These five things should make you want to shout!
