Welcome to 2018! We believe this will be your year of deliverance from any and everything holding you back from fulfilling your divine destiny.
2 Corinthians 5:17in the Amplified Bible says:
“Behold, the fresh and new has come!”
You’ve never had a year like 2018. . .
Say this with us:
“My problems of the past will not hinder my possibilities for this new year.”
Say it again. . .
“My problems of the past will not hinder my possibilities for this new year.”
2018 is your year to do what you’ve never done. . .become what you’ve always wanted to be. . .free from the hindrances of the past. . .and the tricks, traps, wiles and deceptions of the enemy.
On January 1, 2013 we made our first Rich Thoughts For Breakfast call. As I began reflecting on my conversation with the Lord as He was revealing His plan for the first thirteen days of 2013.
I feel led to share the thirteen instructions. . .He directed me to share with those on that first call about their new year.
This past October, I read what became my favorite book of 2017. It’s entitled “2 Chairs” and it was written by Bob Beaudine who heads a sports management company in Dallas and is on the Board of Directors of the Texas Rangers baseball team.
God used this book to profoundly change my prayer life and receiving the Lord’s instructions during our time together have been richer than ever before.
If you’re reading this article. . .I’m confident you understand the importance of prayer and its ability to change not only your life. . . but your destiny and those you influence.
Second, reading His Word.
Surfing the internet and reading the posts of friends and even people you don’t know should ALWAYS come after reading the Word. Your time on social media will not change your life. . .but the promises of God will.
Third, confessing His Word
Your confession changes your direction.
Yes, you can change where you are in life by what comes out of your mouth.
You choose your destiny by the words you speak.
I encourage you to personalize Proverbs 18:21 in the World English Bible translation which says:
“Death and life are in the power of <<your name>>’s tongue: and if <<your name>> loves it, <<he/she/they>>loves it, <<he/she/they>> will eat its fruit.”
Once you confess the scriptures…especially, the ones you’ve personalized…for twenty-one days you will begin to see a profound difference in your thought process and the quality of your life. More importantly, you will find that you’ll never be double-minded again.
Fourth, encouraging someone else
We’ve taught encouraging others so many times. We’ve shared what the scripture says. In fact, I’m going to give you two verses then I want to provoke your thinking with a question.
Romans 15:32 in the New Living Translation says:
“Then, by the will of God, I will be able to come to you with a joyful heart, and we will be an encouragement to each other.”
1 Thessalonians 5:11 in the New International Version which says:
“Therefore encourage one another and build each other up, just as in fact you are doing.”
Right now, write down the name of one person who you can encourage today. Beside their name write down the time you’re going to call them.
Fifth, planning Your Day
Purpose in your heart that you will decide what your goals are for tomorrow before you go to bed tonight. Be flexible. . .as things and circumstances may dictate adjustments in your daily plan. . .but you must have a plan.
Proverbs 16:3 in one translation says:
“I commit my work to the Lord. My plans will succeed.”
Each day is a gift to you. . .what are your plans for this precious treasure of time that God has given to you.
Someone said once, each day is a gift from God and what we do with that day is our gift to him.
Sixth, praising God For What He Did Today
The only way to escape what you’re going through is by praising God for what He’s already done.
Colossians 2:7 in the New International Version says:
“. . . rooted and built up in him, strengthened in the faith as you were taught, and overflowing with thankfulness.”
Colossians 4:2 in the New International Version says:
“Devote yourselves to prayer, being watchful and thankful.”
Child of God, our Heavenly Father wants us praising Him and, truthfully, if we were smart. . .we’d want to do it a lot more than we do.
Seventh, reviewing, revising and redirecting your life away from hindrances, obstacles and problems. . .to your promises being fulfilled.
As I was praying about 2018. I asked the Lord for a Word to share with you. . .He gave me one word. . .EXPECTATION.
You must expect 2018. . .to be different than any year in your past. . .you must expect it to be your year of deliverance. . .you must expect that today. . .will be more than just another day. . .you must expect the promises of God to be manifested in your life as never before.
We must begin each day filled with supernatural expectation about the manifestation of His presence, peace, protection, promises, power, promotion, provision and possibilities.
Psalm 5:3 in the New International Version says:
“In the morning, O Lord, you hear my voice; in the morning I lay my requests before you and wait in expectation."
God wants each of us to begin each new day in this New Year with a positive expectancy about supernatural favor, divine connections, revelatory insight and yes, previously unknown opportunities and unused potential.
Our expectation must live in Him.
Psalm 62:5 says:
“My soul, wait thou only upon God; for my expectation is from him.”
Expectation for 2018 to be your year of deliverance will bring greater rewards and manifestation than ever before.
Proverbs 24:14 in the Amplified Bible says:
“So shall you know skillful and godly Wisdom to be thus to your life; if you find it, then shall there be a future and a reward, and your hope and expectation shall not be cut off."
Don’t worry about the future.
The Message Bible translation of Proverbs 24:14 says:
“Likewise knowledge, and wisdom for your soul—Get that and your future's secured, your hope is on solid rock.”
Child of God, are you getting this?. Our expectation secures our future and gives us a hope that immoveable.
Our future is secured when we expect to receive the manifestation of God’s best . . . all that He has to offer you.
Psalm 25:12 in The Living Bible says:
“Where is the man who fears the Lord? God will teach him how to choose the best.”
Make no mistake . . . it’s God’s will that you enjoy all the benefits He provides for you.
For today. . .and every day that follows in 2018. . .we must greet the birth of every new day. . .filled with an expectation of His promises being fulfilled.
Every day before we go to bed. . .we should review our to expectations for the following day. In fact, if you haven’t read “7 Things To Do Before You Go To Sleep” I strongly encourage you to visit haroldherring.com and do so.
Do you expect to awaken renewed and refreshed each morning?
Do you expect to feel His presence during your prayer, Bible reading and meditation time each morning?
Do you expect God to speak to you. . .in your mind or audibly during your prayer time?
Do you expect to find the parking place closest to your office or the main entrance to the place you have to go?
Do you expect to the irresistible charm of Jesus to flow through you every day giving you supernatural favor in the workplace and with everyone you come in contact with?
Do you expect to meet someone who wants to be your mentor, counselor, new business associate, friend or someone who is aiming high . . . to hang out with?
Do you expect someone to give you revelatory insight into either the Word or by something they’ve said, read or discovered?
Do you expect to receive a seven-fold return on everything the real enemy (the devil). . .the thief has taken from you?
Do you expect every seed you sow will return a mega, bountiful or an abundant, overflowing harvest?
Do you expect the best every single moment of every single day?
You have the right to expect the manifestation of all His promises because it’s in the Word. But you must EXPECT your unfulfilled promises … FULFILLED.
From the time you open your eyes in the morning until you close them at night you should live in the expectation that Christ will be glorified by your faithfulness to fulfill all that He promised you in His Word.
If we begin our day with supernatural expectations . . . we’ll never be disappointed.
Jeremiah 29:13 in the Message Bible says:
"When you come looking for me, you'll find me. "Yes, when you get serious about finding me and want it more than anything else, I'll make sure you won't be disappointed." God's Decree. "I'll turn things around for you. . .You can count on it.’”
Proverbs 23:17-19 in the New Living Translation says:
“Don’t envy sinners, but always continue to fear the Lord. You will be rewarded for this; your hope will not be disappointed. My child, listen and be wise: Keep your heart on the right course.”
The scripture doesn’t say “you might be,” “you could be” or “you should be.” it says you WILL BE REWARDED. Now, stand on that promise!
But we have a part to play in 2018 becoming our year of deliverance. . .as we move from glory to glory in His marvelous image.
Expect 2018 to be your best year ever . . .and it will be.BLOG COMMENTS POWERED BY DISQUS
