2024 Year Of The Miraculous Turnaround

. .

Has it been just an okay year. . .and you’re so ready for something new?

Are you ready to leave the pains and hurts of 2024 in the rearview mirror?

Are you ready to move to a spiritual place you’ve never been before?

Do you remember ever driving to a place you’ve never been before . . .found yourself not knowing if you were heading in the right direction but you still continued on?

I think this is particularly true. . .of most men. . .there is a hesitancy to stop and ask for directions. . .until it’s clearly obvious that you’re headed in the wrong direction.

There is an amazing parallel in life where some people know they’re headed in the wrong direction but they keep hesitating to make the decision to turn things around.

Jeremiah 8:4 in the Contemporary English Version says:

“[The People Took the Wrong Road ] The LORD said: People of Jerusalem, when you stumble and fall, you get back up, and if you take a wrong road, you turn around and go back.”

The lifestyle turnaround begins with asking for forgiveness for our sins and returning to God.

Acts 3:19 in the Amplified Bible says:

“So repent (change your mind and purpose); turn around and return [to God], that your sins may be erased (blotted out, wiped clean), that times of refreshing (of recovering from the effects of heat, of reviving with fresh air) may come from the presence of the Lord.”

If you think that’s a great incentive for turning things around then consider the words of Joel 2:13 in the Message Bible which says:

“Change your life, not just your clothes. Come back to God, your God. And here's why: God is kind and merciful. He takes a deep breath, puts up with a lot, This most patient God, extravagant in love, always ready to cancel catastrophe. Who knows? Maybe he'll do it now, maybe he'll turn around and show pity. Maybe, when all's said and done, there'll be blessings full and robust for your God!”

Sadly, there are some folks who think a new dress or suit and a pair of shoes can turn things around.

Some people use an old saying that “Clothes make the man” to justify buying new clothes but they either ignore or never knew the entire quote which came from Mark Twain who actually said.

“Clothes make the man. Naked people have little or no influence on society.”

As you can see, when taken in context the quote is entirely different.

Way too many people spend money they don’t have buying clothes in hopes that a new outward look will ease the inner pain they’re experiencing . . . unfortunately that’s not what happens.

An unwise shopping expedition only adds to your credit card balance thus causing further problems.

The way to change your life is not with clothes but through a renewed relationship with your Heavenly Father and a refreshed vision of why you were created in the first place

If one of your children has been acting foolishly or living a life of sin but they convey honest repentance and a desire to come home seeking your forgiveness . . . you would, of course, welcome them with open arms.

You will be merciful, kind and generous with the love that you share with them.

That’s the way our Heavenly Father is. . .regardless of how sinful we’ve been. . . He is ready and willing to receive us with open arms of love.

Not only that, but there will be “blessings full and robust from your God.”

God will not only forgive your past sins. . .He will forget them as well.

Ezekiel 18:21 in the Message Bible says:

"But a wicked person who turns his back on that life of sin and keeps all my statutes, living a just and righteous life, he'll live, really live. He won't die. I won't keep a list of all the things he did wrong. He will live. Do you think I take any pleasure in the death of wicked men and women? Isn't it my pleasure that they turn around, no longer living wrong but living right—really living?”

Hallelujah!!!  God will not keep a list of your past sins. . .the things that you did wrong.  Now that’s something to shout about.

The only way to experience the abundant life that God desires for you is to turn around  . . . away from your sins. . .turn your back on your past sinful habits and turn to Him.

Your Heavenly Father is ready to receive you will open arms. . .and to be actively involved in your decision to turn your life around.  Just as a natural father wants the best for his children so does your Heavenly Father wants the best for you.

Hear what I’m about to say. . .please.  Even if your natural father doesn’t want the best for you, God does.

Psalm 27:10 in the Message Bible says:

“My father and mother walked out and left me, but God took me in.”

Jeremiah 29:11-14 in the Message Bible says:

“I know what I'm doing. I have it all planned out—plans to take care of you, not abandon you, plans to give you the future you hope for.  When you call on me, when you come and pray to me, I'll listen. When you come looking for me, you'll find me. "Yes, when you get serious about finding me and want it more than anything else, I'll make sure you won't be disappointed." God's Decree. "I'll turn things around for you. . .You can count on it.”

Regardless of past mistakes. . .when we seek Him. . .receive His forgiveness then we “won’t be disappointed.”

When God tells you that you can count on something. . .you can know it’s going to happen.  There are no “if” “ands” or “buts”. . .it’s going to happen.

God will “…turn things around for you. . .you can count on it.”

Turning from sin to His righteousness is the first step to a major turnaround in our lives.

You may have been saved for a long time. . .but if you’re not following after His righteousness then you will never maximize your turnaround.

God wants you to be a force for righteousness. . .for financial deliverance. . .for humanitarian purposes. . .for providing for the needs of those less fortunate than you.

We also need to understand that things can turn around immediately.

Things can change. . .happen. . .turnaround. . .not just in a day but literally in a second.

Here are seven keys to your miracle turn around in 2025.

The first thing that must turnaround is our attitude.

We’ve got to put the previous disappointments in the past in the rearview mirror.

We can no longer give place to what did or didn’t happen. . .and why. . .it didn’t happen.

Unfortunately, people fail to accomplish their goals because they postpone and procrastinate their vision.

At the first roadblock or obstacle. . .they tell themselves. . .this is never going to happen.

Not True.  Remember, everything is possible to the one who believes.

Mark 9:23 in God’s Word Translation says:

“Jesus said to him, `As far as possibilities go, everything is possible for the person who believes.’”

The first thing we have to turnaround is our attitude about the unlimited possibilities the Word of God sets before us.

We need an attitude adjustment. . .starting today.

What kind of attitude should we have?  HIS. . . yes, the answer is that simple.

Philippians 2:5 in the New Living Translation says:

“You must have the same attitude that Christ Jesus had.”

What we think determines how we act.

The Contemporary English Version of Philippians 2:5 says:

“And think the same way that Christ Jesus thought.”

How do you shape what you think . . . meaning . . . your attitude?  The answer is found in Hebrews 4:12:

“For the word of God is alive and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart.”

If we think like He thinks . . . we will have the most positive mental attitude ever known to the mind of man.

And that’s the best place to begin your turnaround.

The second thing that must turnaround is our actions.

Some people have spent this entire year doing something that could have been accomplished in a week. . .a month. . .six months.

Most people fail to turn things around not because they don’t have great ideas, valuable gifts or worthwhile skills but because they are indecisive and complacent.

In business there is something called a decision quotient.  For instance, 1:1 means that for every decision we make. . .we accomplish it. . .we make it happen.  By the way, this 1:1 quotient is rarely the case.

According to studies, the most effective people have a decision quotient of 2:4 or 3:4 meaning that for every four decisions they act on two or three of them.

People who talk about doing. . .but never do. . .operate on a decision quotient of 2:10 or 2:20. . .which means for every ten or twenty decisions they make. . .they act only on two.

I think the appropriate scripture at this point is Matthew 5:37 in the Amplified Bible which says:

“But let your statement be, ‘Yes, yes’ or ‘No, no’ [a firm yes or no]; anything more than that comes from the evil one.”

I read a fabulous book. . .years ago entitled “Do Talk About It, Do It.”

Which reminds me of James 1:23-25 in the Amplified Bible which says:

For if anyone only listens to the word without obeying it, he is like a man who looks very carefully at his natural face in a mirror; 24 for once he has looked at himself and gone away, he immediately forgets what he looked like. 25 But he who looks carefully into the perfect law, the law of liberty, and faithfully abides by it, not having become a [careless] listener who forgets but an active doer [who obeys], he will be blessed and favored by God in what he does [in his life of obedience].”

Who will God bless in everything he does. . .people who act. . .doers of the Word.

The third thing we must turnaround is our priorities.

To experience a major turnaround in your life. . .your spiritual priorities must be absolutely straight.

God must be first in every aspect of your life, not just in your passive agreement, but in your daily actions.

Here are three scriptures that speak to a proper assessment of your priorities.

Matthew 6:33 in the Amplified Bible says:

“But first and most importantly seek (aim at, strive after) His kingdom and His righteousness [His way of doing and being rightthe attitude and character of God], and all these things will be given to you also.”

This verse is the spiritual prescription for change as it contains the proper progression in our lives.

Romans 12:2 in the Amplified Bible says:

“And do not be conformed to this world [any longer with its superficial values and customs], but be transformed and progressively changed [as you mature spiritually] by the renewing of your mind [focusing on godly values and ethical attitudes], so that you may prove [for yourselves] what the will of God is, that which is good and acceptable and perfect [in His plan and purpose for you].”

As the New Living Translation of Romans 12:2 says:

“. . .let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. . .”

God can and will do a quick work in us. . .if we are willing.

Luke 12:34 in the King James Bible says:

“For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.”

Where you put your money. . .your resources. . .your time. . .determines your willingness and readiness to change.

And just for fun. . .I’m going to include Exodus 20:3

“Thou shalt have no other gods before me.”

Our first and last priority should be God.

The fourth thing to turnaround is your focus.

Luke 9:41 in the Message Bible says:

“Jesus said, "What a generation! No sense of God! No focus to your lives! How many times do I have to go over these things? How much longer do I have to put up with this?”

Focus can be simply defined as ‘whatever has your attention.’  It’s clear that God wants us focused on His plan for our lives

There will be moments in our lives, despite our most best efforts, that we tend to focus on the wrong things or perhaps things that aren’t a part of our vision or the goals that we’ve established for ourselves.

Sometimes we focus on the wrong things. . .because we listening to the wrong people.

Our focus can also be strengthened by associating with people who will help us think on the right kind of things. . .who will encourage us during our turnaround.

For our turnaround to be successful we must stay away from negative, toxic people.  Unfortunately, some of those folks are family members or long-time friends.

Proverbs 13:20 in the New Living Translation says:

“Walk with the wise and become wise; associate with fools and get in trouble.”

You can strengthened your focus by what you think on and who you associate with.

One more scripture on focus.

Hebrews 12:2 in the Message Bible says:

“We’d better get on with it. . .keep your eyes on Jesus. . .Study how he did it.  Because he never lost sight of where he was headed.”

This is the day for you to determine that you will focus on your destiny.

The fifth thing to turnaround is a working critical path.

Write it down, every single step necessary to achieve your goals.  In starting a business, this is called a business plan.  In running a business, it’s called a critical path.

Many times in developing a critical path, I start with where I want to end up, in other words, the goal line.  Then I start working backwards to list all the things necessary for me to achieve my goal by a specific date.

Thinking, dreaming and hoping are great.  But it’s not enough to think about your goals or what steps are necessary to achieve them. . .you have to write each step down.

Hababbuk 2:2 says “write the vision and make it plain.”  The “make it plain” part is critical.

One of the successful characteristics of millionaires is that they write down their goals.  Keeping it in your head just isn’t good enough.  What would you think of a business that didn’t have written records?

This is a key to turning things around in our lives.

When people say to me, “I’m not a numbers person; I’m not the kind who likes to write things down.”  My response to these excuses is plain and simple.  God told you to write the vision and that settles it.  PERIOD. PARAGRAPH.

Make your list and carry it with you in either a notebook, laptop, PDA, legal pad or napkin.  Check off the items on your critical list as you accomplish them.

The sixth thing to turnaround are the words coming out of your mouth.

It’s not enough to have a turnaround in your attitude. . .it must be accompanied by a turnaround in the words coming out of your life.

What we think about. . .we speak about.  What we speak about. . .we bring about.

Psalm 34:12-13 in The Living Bible says:

“Do you want a long, good life? Then watch your tongue! Keep your lips from lying.”

1 Peter 3:10 in The Living Bible says:

“If you want a happy, good life, keep control of your tongue, and guard your lips from telling lies.”

Now let’s look at Isaiah 55:11 in the Amplified Bible which says:

“So shall My word be that goes forth out of My mouth: it shall not return to Me void [without producing any effect, useless], but it shall accomplish that which I please and purpose, and it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it.”

The words coming out of your mouth will not be lost, wasted, empty or without success.

The spoken Word cannot be stopped, changed, deleted, erased, short-circuited or come back empty handed.  Not only that. . .the Word has the ability to make something out of nothing.

The Message Bible translation of Isaiah 55:11 says:

“So will the words that come out of my mouth not come back empty-handed. They'll do the work I sent them to do, they'll complete the assignment I gave them.”

Give the words you speak. . .a specific assignment. . .to change your future destiny.

The seventh thing is to realize your turnaround can happen just like that.

Are you ready for these three words…which I believe when properly understood and applied will facilitate a turnaround in every area of your life.

I want you to write them down…here are the words that the Lord gave me.

“JUST LIKE THAT” (snap my fingers)  I felt the Spirit of the Lord telling me that I should tell every believer I come into contact with…that beginning with the next 16 days and moving in 2025 is going to be your  year of the miracle turnaround and it’s going to happen JUST LIKE THAT

JUST LIKE THAT should be YOUR confession for 2025.  The Lord also said we are to snap OUR fingers every time we say or write the words JUST LIKE THAT.

It’s to be a visible symbol of OUR commitment to turn EVERYTHING negative into a positive in 2025.

If you’re in debt, living from paycheck to Prozac, just barely surviving then things can turnaround for you in 2025…JUST LIKE THAT

If you need a better or higher-paying job, things are going to turnaround in 2025…JUST LIKE THAT

If you’ve got loved ones who need to be saved, then things are going to turnaround in their lives in 2025…JUST LIKE THAT!

If you’re in a marriage that needs to be restored…then it can happen JUST LIKE THAT

If you’ve been fighting the good fight of faith and you need a turnaround in your health, in 2025 healing for your body is going to happen JUST LIKE THAT!

No matter what situation, circumstance or problem you’re facing, there’s nothing too difficult for God.  You’ve got to know that He wants 2025 to be the year of the supernatural turnaround and He wants it to happened…JUST LIKE THAT!

Believe the Word. . .when you put these seven steps into practice thing will begin to turn around for you.

John 11:45 in the Message Bible says:

“That was a turnaround for many of the Jews who were with Mary. They saw what Jesus did, and believed in him.”

Child of God, it’s turnaround time for you. . .it’s time for you to realize things are not as they always appear. . .that God is doing more for you right now that you can’t see so He can bring into manifestation the things you can see.

It’s time for you to believe. . .that things can turnaround for you. . .JUST LIKE THAT!!

It can happen but you must have a plan.  Here are ten keys to your miracle turnaround for 2025.

1.      What book(s) do you plan to read in the next thirty days?

What book will you read first?

What time have you set aside to read each day?

2.      What CDs or DVDs do you plan to listen to or watch in the next thirty days?

          Which one will be first?

What specific time period have you set aside each day?

3.      What is the # 1 goal you would like to accomplish in each of the six major areas of your life in the next thirty days? (Spiritual, Family, Financial, Physical, Mental and Social)

4.      Pick one habit you’d like to eliminate or create each week in the next month?

5.      Write down the name of one new person you meet each week in January.

6.      Name the personalized verses that you plan to commit to memory each week during January.

7.      List something each week in January where God blessed, delivered or turned things around for you.

8.      Pick one friend each week in January with whom you want to strengthen your relationship.

9.      Conduct a 30-day cash survey and determine one area of spending where you can re-direct your money in order to get out of debt more rapidly.

10.    Ask God to stir a least one creative idea each week during January.  Write out what He gives you and praise Him for it.
