If you want to be successful in whatever business venture you’re in . . .you need revelatory insight into marketing trends and consumer demand.
Hunches don’t work. In fact, they’ll get you into financial difficulty quicker than you can say “Yippee Ki O Ki-Yay.”
No matter what your position … you are God’s spiritual entrepreneur for His Kingdom here on planet earth. And that means you need an entrepreneurial coach. . .one who knows the ins and outs of the marketplace and workplace.
One who is not only creative. . .but stirs in you a determined ability to finish what you start.
Truth be told. . .you and I have such a Coach. . .available 24/7 and He’s always gives us the best insight.
He can also lead you to the other connections you need within your industry as you pay attention to His leading.
I was talking with my Entrepreneurial Coach when He revealed to me. . .a seven fold prayer for every Spiritual Entrepreneur’s financial deliverance for 2024.
1. A prayer of revelation
How do you get revelation? You ask for it.
Your prayer for entrepreneurial revelation should consist of seven keys. This is not just true for success on the job but in everything that is holding you back.
First, you have to ask.
Matthew 7:7-8 in the Amplified Bible says:
“Keep on asking and it will be given you; keep on seeking and you will find; keep on knocking [reverently] and [the door] will be opened to you. For everyone who keeps on asking receives; and he who keeps on seeking finds; and to him who keeps on knocking, [the door] will be opened.”
Second, get wisdom to handle the revelation knowledge you receive.
Ephesian 1:17 in The Living Bible says:
“That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him.”
Third, exercise your faith by standing on the Word.
James 1:5-6 says:
“If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him. But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed.”
Fourth, search the scriptures.
2 Timothy 13:16-17 in the New Living Translation says:
“All Scripture is inspired by God and is useful to teach us what is true and to make us realize what is wrong in our lives. It corrects us when we are wrong and teaches us to do what is right. God uses it to prepare and equip his people to do every good work.”
Fifth, be obedient to the Word.
Luke 11:28 in the Amplified Bible says:
“But He said, Blessed (happy and to be envied) rather are those who hear the Word of God and obey and practice it!”
Sixth, glorify God.
Isaiah 42:21 in the Amplified Bible says:
“It was the Lord’s pleasure for His righteousness’ sake [in accordance with a steadfast and consistent purpose] to magnify instruction and revelation and glorify them.”
Seventh, vision precedes revelation.
Psalm 29:18 in the Amplified Bible says:
“Where there is no vision [no redemptive revelation of God], the people perish; but he who keeps the law [of God, which includes that of man]—blessed (happy, fortunate, and enviable) is he.
Understand this … just as 2018 began with 365 days … the Lord unfolds wisdom line upon line, precept upon precept. In our day of desiring the fastest download a computer can process, the Lord still methodically gives us what He knows we can handle.
If we want more, more, more revelation and it isn’t coming. Maybe it’s because we haven’t quite grasped what He’s already given us.
Isaiah 28:10 in the New Living Translation says:
“He tells us everything over and over—one line at a time, one line at a time, a little here, and a little there!”
2. A prayer of expectation
If we expect change we can certainly get it. We need to make it a habit to begin each day filled with supernatural expectation about the irresistible charm of Jesus flowing through us in every conversation we have. . .and with every person we meet.
Psalm 5:3 in the New International Version says:
“In the morning, O Lord, you hear my voice; in the morning I lay my requests before you and wait in expectation."
Make it your confession to begin every day with a positive expectancy for finding previously unknown opportunities, untried potential, supernatural favor, divine connections, revelatory insight and yes, even goals that will be accomplished.
In fact, expectation is a powerful part of our daily time with the Lord. Here is a sample confession or make one of your own.
“Heavenly Father, today, I come before you expecting this to be the greatest day of my life. A day filled with unique opportunities to share your love with every person I meet. I thank you, Lord, for the favor which will flow through me today in every conversation and for this to be a day in which you will be glorified by what I think, say and do. In the strong name of Jesus. Amen.”
Speak the desire of your heart in His presence. . .as you wait with expectation for His manifestation.
Psalm 62:5 says:
“My soul, wait thou only upon God; for my expectation is from him.”
Sadly, many people manifest less than the best because that’s what they’re expecting.
Think about that for a moment.
3. A prayer of influence
Yes, it’s okay to pray to be a person of influence. . .as long as you’re being directed by the Holy Spirit.
God wants each of us to be people of influence. . .for His purposes.
Psalm 67:1-2 in the Amplified Bible says:
“God be merciful and gracious to us and bless us and cause His face to shine upon us and among us—Selah [pause, and calmly think of that]!—That Your way may be known upon earth, Your saving power (Your deliverances and Your salvation) among all nations.”
Not only that. . .He wants you to be a VIP.
According to the American Heritage Dictionary, the term VIP is an abbreviation for Very Important Person and is defined as:
“A person of great importance or influence.”
Psalm 112:9 in the New Living Translation says you are a person of influence.
“They share freely and give generously to those in need. Their good deeds will be remembered forever. They will have influence and honor.”
The scripture is clear. . .the way to have influence and honor is to be a giver. . .that makes you a VIP.
However, I have another definition of what being a VIP really means in God’s book.
Value—How Do You See Yourself
Identity—Who You Are in Christ
Purpose—Why You Are Here On Planet Earth
Let’s talk about “V”—your value.
Philippians 3:8 in the New Living Translation says:
“Yes, everything else is worthless when compared with the infinite value of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord. For his sake I have discarded everything else, counting it all as garbage, so that I could gain Christ.”
2 Corinthians 5:20 explains who we are for Him:
“So we are Christ’s ambassadors, God making His appeal as it were through us. We [as Christ’s personal representatives] beg you for His sake to lay hold of the divine favor [now offered you] and be reconciled to God.”
Not only are you valuable to God. . but He knows everything about you.
Luke 12:7 says:
“But even the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Fear not therefore: ye are of more value than many sparrows.”
Our influence is not because of who we are. . .but who we are in Him.
In fact, God gives you the identity that will make you a Spiritual Entrepreneur with influence.
Matthew 5:48 in the Message Bible says:
"In a word, what I'm saying is, Grow up. You're kingdom subjects. Now live like it. Live out your God-created identity. Live generously and graciously toward others, the way God lives toward you."
You have a God-created identity. Can somebody say “Hallelujah?”
He gives you your value, identity and purpose.
Why are you here? What’s your purpose on the earth? Make no mistake about it. God has a purpose for every individual’s life.
If God’s only purpose for saving you was to get you in heaven, then why not take you once you’re saved.
Exodus 9:16 in the New Living Translation says:
“But I have spared you for a purpose—to show you my power and to spread my fame throughout the earth.”
So your prayer for influence. . .should be for you to become what and who the Word of God says you are.
As former Prime Minister of the UK, Margaret Thatcher, once said:
“It used to be about trying to do something; now it’s about trying to be someone.”
If we are going to be someone influential, let us be described as His influence and if we are going to do something influential, let it count for His Kingdom.
4. A prayer for favor
As you pray for favor. . .I also think it’s important for you to pray for wisdom.
Luke 2:52 makes it clear to me. . .there is a proportionate increase in favour as you increase in wisdom. Once again the verse says:
“And Jesus increased in wisdom and stature, and in favour with God and man.”
Even in the midst of difficult circumstances. . .the supernatural favor of God will flow through you. Your increased wisdom leads to increased favor.
Genesis 39:21 says:
“But the Lord was with Joseph, and shewed him mercy, and gave him favour in the sight of the keeper of the prison.”
While most believers will never find themselves confined in a prison. . .they may feel incarcerated by their surroundings. . .feeling that freedom. . .financial and otherwise. . .is just an elusive dream.
No matter what circumstances you’re facing. . .God can move you from the prison to the palace. . .as His irresistible charm flows through you to change hearts and attitudes toward you.
Acts 7:10 in the Amplified Bible says:
“And delivered him from all his distressing afflictions and won him goodwill and favor and wisdom and understanding in the sight of Pharaoh, king of Egypt, who made him governor over Egypt and all his house.”
There is preparation time involved in everything that happens to us. Psalm 105:19 in the New Living Translation says:
“Until the time came to fulfill his dreams, the LORD tested Joseph's character.”
God will even give you favor with people who have tortured you. . .laughed at you. . . perhaps even enslaved you.
The Lord proves it time and time again in Exodus 12:36 in the Amplified Bible when the children of Israel left Egyptian slavery:
“The Lord gave the people favor in the sight of the Egyptians, so that they gave them what they asked. And they stripped the Egyptians [of those things].”
God’s WORD Translation of Exodus 12:36 says: “. . . So the Israelites stripped Egypt of its wealth.”
But we are called, as Joseph, to work with the process of the Lord testing our character. The more testing … the greater the calling. God may be giving us favor even when we are not aware of it.
So our prayer is for the irresistible charm of Jesus to flow through you. . .giving you favor with every person you meet.
Many of these people may not even know why they’re giving you such favor. . .but we will know.
Here are seven ways you should pray for favor.
First, pray for, believe and expect continual supernatural moves of God in your daily life.
Second, you will move in favor by doing what you say you're going to do. . .when you say you’re going to do it.
Third, always be a person of integrity even when no one else is around. After all, God is always around…and watching.
Fourth, be a person of character instead of being a character
Fifth, live an Ephesians 6:8 lifestyle.
Sixth, treat people the way you want to be treated.
Seventh, position yourself for His favor to flow through you to others.
Proverbs 19:6 in the New American Standard Bible says:
“Many will seek the favor of a generous man, And every man is a friend to him who gives gifts.”
5. A prayer of focus
When it comes to how change is going to manifest in 2018, we should pray for focus. . .I can’t possibly improve on the Lord’s Prayer in Matthew 6:9-13 in the Amplified Bible which says:
Pray, therefore, like this: Our Father Who is in heaven, hallowed (kept holy) be Your name. Your kingdom come, Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven left, remitted, and let go of the debts, and have given up resentment against) our debtors. And lead (bring) us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one. For Yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Amen.”
Our Father Who is in heaven. We acknowledge our great God Jehovah as our Heavenly Father. After all we were made in His image and after His likeness.
Any success we achieve is because of who our Heavenly Father is and how much He loves us.
Hallowed (holy) be your name. His name is the name above all other names. There is no one greater. . .we have access to His presence because of the blood of Jesus alone. It is through Jesus’ righteousness . . . not our own. We can’t deserve it but we can embrace it.
Your kingdom come, Your will be done on earth as in heaven. God sent His son Jesus to seek and save that (them) which were lost. If that’s His mission. . .it should be ours as well.
Give us this day our daily bread. He will supply all our needs according to His riches in glory. This is spelled out in Philippians 4:19.
And forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven, left, remitted, and let go of the debts, and have given up resentment against) our debtors. Three words. . .forgive and forget.
And lead (bring) us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one. God always provides a means of escape. . .and He endured every temptation that’s ever come to man and overcame. So can we.
I Corinthians 10:13 NKJV
[No temptation has overtaken you except such as is common to man; but God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will also make the way of escape, that you may be able to bear it.]
For Yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever. We serve a great God who can meet and surpass all our needs.
By the way, the 23rd Psalm is also a great prayer of deliverance and prosperity to focus on.
One more thing, as you pray for focus on the things that are important in your life. . .you personal plan for success. . .always finish what you start.
Over the years, I’ve interacted with some remarkably creative people. . .who had million dollar ideas with less than a buck’s worth of implementation skills.
When He gives it … use it!
6. A prayer of increase
When it comes to praying for increase. . .I can’t think of a better example than Jabez.
Let me quickly point out that I don’t have time to provide an elaborate revelatory look at Jabez. I do recommend that you read The Prayer of Jabez by Bruce Wilkinson. I do believe the Holy Spirit will reveal even more to Jabez than is contained in the book.
At the moment, I want to share with you seven keys from 1 Chronicles 4:9-10 in the New Living Translation on what God wants to do for you as an overcomer in 2018.
“There was a man named Jabez who was more honorable than any of his brothers. His mother named him Jabez because his birth had been so painful. 10 He was the one who prayed to the God of Israel, “Oh, that you would bless me and expand my territory! Please be with me in all that I do, and keep me from all trouble and pain!” And God granted him his request.”
Seven things about Jabez. . .
First, he was more honorable than any of his brothers.
Second, he was the one who took the time to pray to God. [You have not…because you ask not.]
Third, he was specific in his request. He asked God to bless him.
Fourth, he asked for increase. When you had more territory. . .you could have more of what went on the land.
Fifth, he wanted God’s direction and abiding presence in all he did.
Sixth, he specifically asked to be free of trouble and pain.
Seventh, God granted his request.
As Spiritual Entrepreneur’s we’d be wise to model our prayer for increase after Jabez.
Unfortunately, time does not allow me to teach more extensively on Jabez. When you read The Prayer of Jabez by Bruce Wilkinson, be sure to ask God to allow you to see beyond what is written. I believe He will give you a deeper revelation.
I was about to move to the seventh prayer for you this year of 2018 when I was directed to Deuteronomy 16:15 which says:
“Seven days shalt thou keep a solemn feast unto the Lord thy God in the place which the Lord shall choose: because the Lord thy God shall bless thee in all thine increase, and in all the works of thine hands, therefore thou shalt surely rejoice.”
Let me tell you what quickened in me as I read this verse.
The Lord revealed to me. . .that if each of us will create a special prayer for increase and lift it before him for the next seven days. . .that He will bless us with increase and in the works of our hand.
You can create your own prayer. . .or model yours after the Prayer of Jabez. . .but write it out where you can read it and refer to it on a regular basis.
7. A prayer for boldness
Ephesians 3:12 says:
“In whom we have boldness and access with confidence by the faith of him.”
Where does our boldness come from. . .the creator of heaven and earth. . .the Master of the Universe. . .the Great I Am. . .the everlasting One. . .the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords.
The Greek word for boldness is G3954 and it means:
“freedom in speaking, unreservedness in speech; free and fearless confidence, cheerful courage, boldness, assurance”
When we’re confident of who we are in Him. . .when we walk by faith not by sight. . .there is a supernatural surge which produces a boldness that is clearly evident.
The boldness is evident in our speech and in the things we do. . .the favor in which we walk. . .and the miracles manifesting around us.
Acts 4:29-31 in the New Living Translation says:
“And now, O Lord, hear their threats, and give us, your servants, great boldness in preaching your word. Stretch out your hand with healing power; may miraculous signs and wonders be done through the name of your holy servant Jesus.” After this prayer, the meeting place shook, and they were all filled with the Holy Spirit. Then they preached the word of God with boldness.”
As we approach 2018 as a year of deliverance from anything & everything that’s been holding us back … we must pray for boldness. . .to do things we’ve never done.
There is so much more potential we have yet to tap … have yet to believe God for. As we pursue Him, He will help us find it.
