Seven Keys To 2013 Being Your Year Of Unfulfilled Promises...FULFILLED

. .

I ask the Lord if He had a word for His people for 2013 and His answer ignited in my spirit.

It was 5:39 in the morning when God dropped the number 13 in my spirit.

I don’t believe in luck. . .so I don’t believe 13 is an unlucky number.

I asked our Heavenly Father to reveal the reason He stirred the number 13 in my spirit.

He reminded me it was 13 years after the birth of Ishmael that God confirmed that Isaac, the son of His promise, would be born the next year to Abraham and Sarah.

In the minutes that followed. . .God allowed me to see that 2013 will be a year of unfulfilled promises. . .fulfilled and with total prosperity in every area of our lives.  He gave me seven instructions to make 2013 a year of promises fulfilled.

Did I just hear you shout?  2013 will be a year of unfilled promises. . .fulfilled.

Here’s are the seven keys I was instructed to share with you.

# 1       You must choose to believe 2013 is your year.

The first instruction is to remove all imaginary limitations to your success and believe what the Word of God says.

What do I mean by imaginary limitations?

It’s anything you think you can’t have, don’t deserve, think you can’t possess or don’t believe God intended for you to have.

Many of these thoughts may have originated in well-meaning family members who limited their success by the perception of their current reality.  For instance.

“Our family has always been poor. . .and we always will be poor.”

“You don’t have the education for that.”

“Nobody in our family has ever done anything like that.”

“Who do you think you are?”

Now you might be thinking. . .Brother Harold those statements are real. . .so why do you call them imaginary limitations.

It’s simple really. . .anything that limits the power and possibilities of God in your life is imaginary. . .because God has not placed you in a glass ceiling.

If you believe it. . .you can have it.

Proverbs 23:7 says:

“For as he thinketh in his heart, so is he. . .”

Changing how you think. . .is simply a matter of changing what and who you believe.

“. . . Then to the centurion Jesus said, Go; it shall be done for you as you have believed.”  Matthew 8:13 AMP

What you believe will be done for you . . . will be done . . .it’s a promise from God.

Years ago, I had a button printed that said simply “You gotta believe” and while that’s true. . .what you believe is critical.

You believe and manifest the promises of God. . .by following His instructions and directions.

# 2       Stop looking back.  Let disappointments, betrayals and mistakes stay in the past.  When Abraham received God’s promise for the future. . .he was looking at the past.

Genesis 12:1-2 in the Amplified Bible says:

“Now [in Haran] the Lord said to Abram, Go for yourself [for your own advantage] away from your country, from your relatives and your father’s house, to the land that I will show you.”

In essence God was telling Abram to leave everything that was familiar to him.

God didn’t want Abram looking to the past. . .He wanted him anticipating the new thing in his life.

Wow. . .I know Genesis 12:2 in the Amplified Bible made Abram shout.

“And I will make of you a great nation, and I will bless you [with abundant increase of favors] and make your name famous and distinguished, and you will be a blessing [dispensing good to others].”

If you want the promises of God manifested in your life in 2013. . .you must let go of the past.

Luke 9:62 in the New Century Version says:

“Jesus said, "Anyone who begins to plow a field but keeps looking back is of no use in the kingdom of God."

If someone has hurt you in the past. . .leave it there.  Don’t harbor any resentment . . . don’t add any painful memories to your mental play list.

Lot was not on the guest list for Abram’s journey but he invited himself.

Genesis 12:4 in the Amplified Bible says:

“So Abram departed, as the Lord had directed him; and Lot [his nephew] went with him. Abram was seventy-five years old when he left Haran.”

Lot’s family didn’t get the message about not looking back.  When Lot and his family left Sodom and Gomorrah. . .his wife didn’t follow God’s instructions and she looked back.  Not a smart thing to do.

Genesis 19:26 says:

“But his wife looked back from behind him, and she became a pillar of salt.”

It doesn’t pay to look back.

You will never be able to embrace the new thing God wants to do in your life during 2013 as long as you’re holding on to past losses. Isaiah 43:19

# 3       God can make what seems impossible…possible.

Abraham had to get beyond thinking he could make it happen himself  . . . ONLY GOD CAN.

You need to realize that being debt free is not an impossible dream for one simple reason.  With God. . .nothing is impossible.

Luke 1:37 in the Amplified Bible says:

“For with God nothing is ever impossible and no word from God shall be without power or impossible of fulfillment.”

There is one thing that is impossible. . .it’s to please God without faith.

Hebrews 11:6 in the Amplified Bible says:

“But without faith it is impossible to please and be satisfactory to Him. For whoever would come near to God must [necessarily] believe that God exists and that He is the rewarder of those who earnestly and diligently seek Him [out].”

With God and your faith energized. . .there is nothing impossible to you. . .including being step free from the bondage of debt.

You may think there’s no way out of your current circumstances . . .ONLY GOD CAN.  He is the way-maker and He’s ready to make a way for you.

Mark 9:23 in the New Living Translation says:

“What do you mean, ‘If I can’?”Jesus asked. “Anything is possible if a person believes.”

What may seem impossible on December 15, 2012 is not impossible tomorrow. . .next week or new year.

# 4       Delay doesn’t mean denial.

Over the 13 years after Ishmael was born. . .no doubt Abraham wondered if the promises of God would ever come to pass.

God wants you to understand that like Abraham you may have been awaiting the manifestation of your promise. . .but your time is coming.  He directed me to write these words to you.

“Tell my children to hold fast to the confession of their faith.  What I’ve promised will come to pass.”   Remember, God is not a man that He should lie (Numbers 23:19).

Delay tactics are a favorite deception of the enemy because he seeks to trip us up by filling us with doubt.

The enemy wants you to believe that salvation will never come to your family. . .but that’s not what the Word says.

The enemy wants you to believe that deliverance from debt will never manifest in your life. . .but that’s not what the Word says.

The enemy wants you to believe that your healing or that of your loved one will never manifest. . .but that’s not what the Word says.

The enemy wants you to think the job market is hopeless and you’ll never get another job. . .but that’s not what the Word says.

The enemy wants you to think that the Lord is not interested in your needs or in fulfilling the promises that He makes to each of us in the Word of God.

2 Peter 3:9 in the Amplified Bible says:

“The Lord does not delay and is not tardy or slow about what He promises, according to some people's conception of slowness, but He is long-suffering (extraordinarily patient) toward you, not desiring that any should perish, but that all should turn to repentance.”

This scripture is often quoted as a verse to give hope to those who believe for a loved one to be saved.  However, I think there is much more at work in this verse.

“The Lord does not delay and is not tardy or slow about what He promises. . .”

If you’ve been going through the fire. . .if you feel like you’ve been to hell and back, then you need to hold onto the first part of this verse.

God does not delay. . .but the enemy likes to see if he can hinder the arrival of God’s answer to the circumstances, situations and problems that you are facing.

Daniel 10:12-14 in the New Living Translation says:

“Then he said, “Don’t be afraid, Daniel. Since the first day you began to pray for understanding and to humble yourself before your God, your request has been heard in heaven. I have come in answer to your prayer. 13But for twenty-one days the spirit prince of the kingdom of Persia blocked my way. Then Michael, one of the archangels, came to help me, and I left him there with the spirit prince of the kingdom of Persia. 14Now I am here to explain what will happen to your people in the future, for this vision concerns a time yet to come.”

You need to know God has heard your prayer . . . that your answer . . . your deliverance is on the way.  That’s why it’s so important that you obey the Lord. . .follow His instructions for living the good life. . .never doubt. . .because answers, direction and deliverance are coming.

Heed the words of Psalm 119:60 in the New Living Translation which says:

“I will hurry, without delay, to obey your commands.”

Even though you’ve been waiting for an answer. . .a manifestation. . .don’t give up, give in, back up, back down or quit expecting.

# 5       Depend on Him. . .not them.

God doesn’t want you looking to your employer, the government, your family and friends or anyone else to meet your needs.  He wants you dependent on him. . .not them.

Hosea 12:6 in the Message says:

“What are you waiting for? Return to your God!  Commit yourself in love, in justice!
Wait for your God, and don’t give up on him—ever!”

Sarah was moved by her circumstances so she tried to help God by giving her handmaiden, Hagar, to Abraham to bear him a child.  Just as Sarah learned, when we move outside of God’s plan, we only make things worse.

Genesis 21:19 in the New Living Translation says:

“Then God opened Hagar’s eyes, and she saw a well full of water. She quickly filled her water container and gave the boy a drink.”

God told Abraham that he and Sarah were going to have a child. After a few years Sarah decided to help God out. She gave Abraham Hagar who then had Ishmael.  Later, Sarah had Isaac just as God had promised.

Then trouble happened. Sarah went to Abraham and told him to get rid of Hagar and her son because they were laughing at her.  Abraham listened but he didn’t want to do it.

Genesis 21:12 says:

“Let it not be grievous in your sight because of the lad and the bondwoman and all that Sarah said unto thee. Harken to her voice for in Isaac shall thy seed be called.”

In verse 14 we see Abraham rose up gave them some bread and water and sent then out.

After the bread and water were gone they were out in the wilderness. Hagar set the boy down and cried out to God saying, ‘Lord I can’t watch this boy die.’

An angel came to her and said in verse 17,

“What aileth thee Hagar? Fear not for God hath heard the voice of the lad where he is. Arise, lift up the lad and hold him in thine hand for I will make him a great nation.”

Genesis 21:19 in the Amplified Bible says:

“Then God opened her eyes and she saw a well of water; and she went and filled the [empty] bottle with water and caused the youth to drink.”

The water had been there all the time, but she was so blinded by her circumstances that she couldn’t see it!

There is opportunity in front of you right now but you may not see it because you have been hypnotized by your circumstances or blinded by the thoughts of the enemy.

Lamentations 3:25 in the New Living Translation says:

“I say to myself, `The Lord is my inheritance; therefore, I will hope in him!’  The LORD is good to those who depend on him, to those who search for him.”

Depend on Him. . .not them. . .and you will enjoy good success in 2013.

# 6       Consecrate the first 13 days of 2013 to Him.

I was given specific directions on how you can strengthen your faith while increasing your opportunities for 2013.

Beginning on January 1st, spend a minimum of 13 minutes each day implementing the following seven instructions.”

First, prayer

Second, reading His Word

Third, confessing His Word

Fourth, encouraging someone else

Fifth, planning Your Day

Sixth, praising Him For What He Did Yesterday

Seventh, reviewing, revising and redirecting your life away from hindrances, obstacles and problems. . .to your promises being fulfilled.

Yes, I’m aware that seven times thirteen is one hour and thirty-one minutes. . .but it’s not even a tithe of your time. . .or even your waking hours.

If you sleep eight hours a day. . .that leaves 16 hours or a time tithe of one hour and forty minutes.

If you want 2013 to be a year of fulfilled promises and supernatural turn around in your life then you need to do something different than what you’ve been doing.

I was directed to commit myself to praying in agreement with you during the first 13 days in January.   . . .I sense in my spirit. . .there are other ways in which God wants me to assist you during this time period. . .and I’m awaiting His further instruction.

Stay tuned on point six. . .I feel He’s not done with this key just yet.

# 7       Mix your praying and your giving for 2013

I strongly encourage you to make a specific list of where and how you need the hand of God to move in your life in 2013. . .so that it becomes your breakthrough year.

When you get specific with God, He will get specific with you.

Do you remember the story of Cornelius the Centurion who mixed his praying with his giving.

Acts 10:31 says:

“…‘Cornelius, thy prayer is heard, and thine alms are had in remembrance in the sight of God.!”

Do you want your prayers heard?

Do you need to get an immediate answer. . .then I encourage  you to mix your praying and your giving. . .just as Cornelius did.

I believe God will direct you to sow a very specific seed to sow for your future success in 2013.  Hear His voice. . .sow a breakthrough seed for 2013 to be the year. . .the promises of God manifested in your life. . .like a flood.

At the stroke of midnight on New Year’s Day. . .I will begin praying for you. . .believing God for 2013 to be the greatest year of your life.  I look forward to hearing from you.
