7 Keys To Borders Without Limitations

. .

Proverbs 4:23 says:

“Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life.”

According to Strong’s Concordance the Hebrew word for issues is (tote sa uff) tō·tsä·ä (H8444) is a real estate term and it means:

“borders, the parameters”

Your heart sets the borders of your life.

The outside circumstances don’t set the borders of your life; it’s what’s in your heart that sets the boundaries or determines the course of your life.

The New Living Translation of Proverbs 4:23 says:

“Guard your heart above all else, for it determines the course of your life.”

Consider this thought. . .when you are meditating on a rhema revelation from the Word of God. . .then you are expanding the borders of your life.

On the other hand. . .if you’re not meditating in the Word. . .then your borders are set where you’re are. . .and doing what you’re doing. . .is where you will stay.

When you start talking about the promises of God. . .His promises. . .what the Word offers you. . .the possibilities of your life. . .the things you desire will soon become a reality. . .as you expand the borders of your life.

I vividly remember the first time I heard preaching about being financial prosperous and God blessing His people.

We lived in Mount Olive, North Carolina.  My fine wife Bev was watching TV and believe it or not, she had control of the TV remote.  I had walked into the other room. . .I heard her settle on channel where I could hear this man preaching.

She called to me and said “Honey, you need to come hear this man.”

The man doing the preaching was Dr Fred Price.  I listened intently as he made a statement that I probably heard for the first time in my life.  It ignited something in my spirit and my life would never be the same.  He said God wants you blessed and not broke.

When you’ve been broke. . .that’s the kind of preaching you like to hear and he was backing it up with scripture!

At the end of the broadcast. . .I wrote down the phone number and the name of the teaching.  It was called “The Power of Positive Confession.”

When someone answered the phone at Ever Increasing Faith Ministries I told her the name of the cassette I wanted to order. . .and she wanted to know which one.  I asked if there was more than one and she chuckled and told me there were 58 tapes in the series.  I told her I wanted them all.

What Dr Price taught was revelatory to me.  .I grew up in a church that taught four things…get saved, miss hell, go to heaven and have a mansion in the sky.   That had been the borders of my life. . .the boundaries. . .but on this particular day. . .things began to change.  Fortunately, today that church has outgrown a lot of that limited teaching.

My fine wife and I began immersing ourselves in those cassettes and this new revelation of God’s Word.

When a person gets to the place where the revelation, the rhema word, is in their hearts. . .then borders begin to expand.

E. W. Kenyon said, “Faith grows where the will of God is known.”

Bev and I began to see and understand things we’d never heard, seen or known before.

We began to realize that we could experience. . .no, more importantly, God wanted us to experience prosperity and financial freedom.

I remember the first time I really started seeing that God wanted me to prosper and be successful.

I remember the first time I ever talked about it … I was hoping nobody would question me … because although I wanted it to be true….and I felt it coming in my life….it was not real at the moment.

When I started seeing that God wanted me to prosper and be in health even as my soul prospered (3 John 2) something ignited in my spirit….it began to stretch me.  I had to go past a border that had been set in my life.

All of us have set borders whether we realize it or not.  We have limitations set until we wake up to the fact that they are limitations.

When you realize you can walk in prosperity because it was God’s plan all along, you will continue to expand your borders.  You keep pushing those borders further and further.

In your finances you can expand your borders by giving more.

Expand your borders…..there are some people who tithe exactly on what they make….if they make $500 a week….they tithe $50….if they make $1,000 a week they tithe $100.

Then there some who tithe on what they’re believing God to increase their income to….they’re expanding their borders.

They are tithing on what they are believing God for not what they have at present. They are expanding their borders; they are pushing their borders out. They believe God for more. We’ve got to get those borders expanded and then we can move out to greater things in God.

((When you finish this teaching…read our 60% increase testimony…in today’s Rich Thoughts email.))

Now let’s look at Joshua 6:2 in the Amplified Bible says:

“And the Lord said to Joshua, See, I have given Jericho, its king and mighty men of valor, into your hands.”

God did not say “Joshua, see” … by looking at the circumstances.

“Look at the big wall and the army and military force. They are positioned over the gates with hot tar and arrows. Look what you are coming against.”

God didn’t say that.

God wanted Joshua to look at Jericho like He saw it.God had already given him that city and He wanted Joshua to see and understand that …first in His mind … then the next day in reality.

I’m challenging each of us . . .to see beyond what’s in the natural into the supernatural where God wants us to live.

God wanted us … just like He wanted Joshua to see His promises and see what He has already done in the spirit realm.

If you can see it, you can have it.

We have to see. . .what He’s already given to us.

If you see prosperity and a breakthrough in your finances, you will walk in prosperity, but until you can see it. . .you can’t have it.

Let’s go to Romans chapter 12.

Tonight, we are talking about getting revelation knowledge into our hearts.

Now I’m going to talk about being able to see things God’s way.

Thus far. . .we’ve been discussing seeing things differently.  We talked about having enough faith to see things differently.

We should never again look at things the way we used to.

When you are around negative people…right away. . .red flags ought to come up…because you don’t think like they do anymore.

I was at a meeting and a Pastor came up to me telling me how poor she and her people were….but if I could just pray that God would touch someone’s heart to bless them….lay it on someone’s heart to sow a mighty seed…things would be different.

The pastor kept dropping hints, that they could do more if, someone (meaning me) would just hear God and sow that big seed.  She said she wanted me to come and see their church buildings. She said they didn’t have much to work with, but if they had more to work with, then they could do more.

In other words, they needed financial help. I didn’t know her or her church well…and I didn’t feel at peace about correcting her thinking.

But the fact is, they had everything they needed to do what they wanted to do.

If you can’t get what you need with the Word of God, then it can’t be gotten.

The pastor and her congregation have the same things we work with…the same possibilities in God…the same Word…and the same opportunity…if they will take a step of faith…starting with what they’ve got…then soon they will see the possibilities come to pass in their lives.

I’m going to be totally honest. . .the problem is that too many people are looking for someone to give to them…they’re not looking for places to sow.

God said a sower goes out to sow.  Someone who is walking in God’s blessing flow is not going to be looked at as a harvester as much as a sower because they are continually looking for good soil to put their seed into.

When you are sowing that seed, you can count on the harvest coming back. So, when the pastor suggested her church needed more to work with ... the truth is they have from Genesis to Revelation to work with!

When you’ve seen the revelation, and you have the rhema that He is the anointed One… that He is the Messiah and the Christ…now you are seeing things the way God sees them.

When you have revelation from the Word of God, it allows you to see further than other people can. Jesus said in John 4:35:

“Say not ye, There are yet four months, and then cometh harvest? behold, I say unto you, Lift up your eyes, and look on the fields; for they are white already to harvest.”

Over the years, the church has related this verse of scripture to just one thing and one thing only. . .the winning of the lost to Jesus Christ.

I am not going to take away from that because certainly winning the lost is the greatest harvest we will have on this earth. But a harvest is a harvest!  God does not limit harvests.

Lift up your eyes, and look on the fields; for they are white already to harvest.

This verse is not limited to one harvest; it includes our financial harvest as well.

Look and see how far you can see. The fields are white. If you can see it, you can have it.

The point of lifting up our eyes and looking on it is a very important part

If you can see your future success…you can have it.

If you can see your prosperity…you can have it.

If you can see the unlimited possibilities and opportunities before you…you can have them.

Now let’s go a little further.

In Romans chapter 12, the Word is talking to us about the two areas of our lives we have to deal with…after we are born again.

The part of you that was born again is your spirit man. You have two things to contend with. One is your flesh.

My goodness, sometimes people come to Jesus with flesh that is so messed up.

The flesh is easily addicted to everything under the sun; addicted to drugs, alcohol, sex and pornography.  And when we come to Jesus we have to face these matters of the flesh.

God deals with that in Romans 12:1 where he says:

“I beseech you therefore brethren by the mercies of God that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto the Lord, which is your reasonable service.”

That is what we do with our flesh. We present it to God as a living sacrifice. We give Him our flesh and ourselves and yield it as a living sacrifice.

Then He goes on to talk in verse 2 about what we should do with our minds, our soul realm.

This is the realm where the biggest problems come. We will fight our biggest battles within the six inches between our ears.

Let me say that again, we will fight, and have fought, our biggest battles in the six inches between our ears.

The thoughts that the enemy brings against you and the thoughts you bring up and begin to develop in your own heart.

This also relates to expanding those borders. Those borders of your life are set by the way you think. The way you think has been programmed over the years.

Perhaps when you were a child you were always told how poor you were, how your folk were always poor, how you’ll never be more than this and this is who you are and so on.

What is happening is that these borders are being set as your mind is being set. Then add to that all the other things you’ve spoken or thought the rest of your life.

For example, how clumsy you are, how accident prone you are, how you cannot do anything right, you always make mistakes and how you can’t get along with people.

You can go on and on with that list and what has happened as you have set the borders in your life and you don’t go beyond them.

This is why we guard our hearts and our thoughts with all our strength because you have set the borders of your life.

So, what do you do when you become a Christian and you have these borders set in your life?

How can we ever get into the realm of walking in all that God has for us if we cannot expand our borders? We can’t. But the Grace of God can and will… if we continue to apply it to our lives our borders will expand clear until we enter eternal life.

Ephesians 2:8 in the Amplified Bible says:

For it is by free grace (God’s unmerited favor) that you are saved ([c]delivered from judgment and made partakers of Christ’s salvation) through [your] faith. And this [salvation] is not of yourselves [of your own doing, it came not through your own striving], but it is the gift of God;”

When we are born again, we are given the grace we need for the journey ahead.  And the better news is in verse 9 which says:

Not because of works [not the fulfillment of the Law’s demands], lest any man should boast. [It is not the result of what anyone can possibly do, so no one can pride himself in it or take glory to himself.]”

It was not the result of what you did … but what you believe God for.  There it is … in the Word.

The people who have wrestled with sickness their whole lives. They’ve been in and out of hospitals and been told they will never get well.

All these negative things have been planted in their minds and now they are born again.

The Word of God declared health and healing for us, but their borders are set that tell them they will always have these things.

You cannot walk in the victory God has for you until you expand those borders.

If you push them back far enough, you will have what you can see.

How far back can you move the borders in your life?

God is able to do exceedingly, abundantly above and beyond all that we could even ask or think (Ephesians 3:20). That tells me we can move those borders back as far as our trust in God will let us. There is no limitation on how far back those borders can be moved.

Through grace and faith you can keep push your borders back further and further because you believe what the Word of God can do in and through your life. But if you cannot get those borders out there you are stuck in the parameters of the borders that are set in your life. How do we do that?

God said in Romans 12:2 to be not conformed to this world. The word “conformed” there in the Phillips translation means “pressed into the mold.”

Don’t let what the world says press you into its mold.

Conform means to be made into an image. The Bible talks about being conformed to the image of Christ.

We want to be more and more like Him. He says don’t let the world conform us, don’t be conformed by the world.

What kind of mold are we talking about? Setting borders with limitations.

We may have to walk through and out of some things but thank God when the borders are pushed back you know that it cannot stay.

One of my favorite phrases in the Bible is, “And it came to pass.” Whatever it is that came your way, it didn’t come to stay. It is from the enemy, it came to pass

Let’s look at it this way. Don’t let the world set your borders.

The world wants to set your borders. The world says that everybody gets sick and when you reach a certain age this kind of problem or that kind of problem comes up for men, and women.  Who says?

I always tell them when they say these kind of dumb things on television or wherever, not me! I live under a different set of rules because I am from a different world.

How about you? We are from a different world, aren’t we?

There is nothing spooky about that. We are believers, born again. We are in this world but not of it. This is not hard for unbelievers to believe anyway …they already think we are from another world.

Be not conformed to this world. Don’t let the world set your borders. But be ye transformed, true metamorphosis, a total transformation.

You can’t go where you cannot see or believe God for.

So, He said don’t let the world set your borders but totally transform your life.

Who transforms our lives?  God does. . .with our cooperation and commitment.

Romans 12:2 in the New Living Translation says:

“Don’t copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you willlearn to know God’s will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect.”

You expand your borders. . .renew your mind. . .transform your life. . .by allowing God to move in you daily.

Why does God want to expand your borders? So you may prove what is that good, and acceptable and perfect will of God.

I have taken that good and acceptable and perfect will and I have taught it in several ways. But let me show you something to look at a little differently. I want you to image there are borders your mind has set up where you cannot see past the border.

And if you can’t see it, you can’t have it.

As we begin to expand, there is another border but we expand more, and there may be another border. It is not God’s will to be on this side of the border, we keep pushing more and more borders back.

God’s will is for you to be what His Word says you are, to have what His Word says you have and to do what the Word says you can do.

God’s perfect will is beyond the furthest border that was ever set up. As you walk in faith, God’s grace will continue to expand the borders of your mind. Ephesians 2:4-6 in the Amplified Bible says:

But God—so rich is He in His mercy! Because of and in order to satisfy the great and wonderful and intense love with which He loved us,

Even when we were dead (slain) by [our own] shortcomings and trespasses, He made us alive together in fellowship and in union with Christ; [He gave us the very life of Christ Himself, the same new life with which He quickened Him, for] it is by grace (His favor and mercy which you did not deserve) that you are saved (delivered from judgment and made partakers of Christ’s salvation).

“And He raised us up together with Him and made us sit down together [giving us joint seating with Him] in the heavenly sphere [by virtue of our being] in Christ Jesus (the Messiah, the Anointed One).”

First of all … we must embrace how much God loves us, how merciful He is to us (verse 4).  Then we see God not only made us alive but He actually gave us the very life of Christ Himself even though we didn’t deserve it (verse 5).

As if that weren’t enough, in verse 6 the Word says we have been raised up with Christ…we are actually seated with Him in glory.

We need to understand that if Jesus is the head and all things were put under His feet (Ephesians 1:22) as members of the body of Christ, even the newest Christian has the enemy completely under his feet.

Now daily, we learn to walk more and more in that capability.

You walk more and more into that acceptable will of God or the perfect will of God as you get past the borders and expand the borders of your heart and mind to the revelation of the Word of God.

Now let’s talk about seven keys borders without limitation ... He will reveal even greater secrets to us.

1.         Relationship With God

When we expand our borders spiritually. . .He will show us things we’ve never seen before.

Isaiah 48:6-8 in the New Living Translation:

“You have heard my predictions and seen them fulfilled, but you refuse to admit it. Now I will tell you new things, secrets you have not yet heard. They are brand new, not things from the past. So you cannot say, ‘We knew that all the time!’

“Yes, I will tell you of things that are entirely new, things you never heard of before. . .”

The Message Bible translation of Isaiah 48:6-7 says:

“This is new, brand-new, something you'd never guess or dream up.  When you hear this you won't be able to say, 'I knew that all along’. . .”

2.         Our Understanding Of His Word

Psalm 1:2 in the Amplified Bible says:

“But his delight and desire are in the law of the Lord, and on His law (the precepts, the instructions, the teachings of God) he habitually meditates (ponders and studies) by day and by night.”

As I began meditating on instruction being profitable . . . I was led on a fascinating search of the scriptures.

The word profitable is from a root word ophelos (G3786) which means:

“to heap up, i.e. accumulate or benefit”

God wants us to “heap up, accumulate and benefit” from the Word and enlarging our borders.

Psalm 37:4 reveals even more when it says:

“Delight yourself also in the Lord, and He will give you the desires and secret petitions of your heart.”

3.         Mental Thought Process

1 Corinthians 2:16 in the Amplified Bible says:

“For who has known or understood the mind (the counsels and purposes) of the Lord so as to guide and instruct Him and give Him knowledge? But we have the mind of Christ (the Messiah) and do hold the thoughts (feelings and purposes) of His heart.”

We have the mind of Christ. . .so our prayer should be for it to function fully and freely within us.

When we think. . .like He thinks. . .our borders begin to expand.

4.         Family

It’s imperative that you enlarge the borders of your spouse and children even as you expand your own.

Deuteronomy 11:19 in the New Living Translation says:

“Teachthem to your children. Talk about them when you are at home and when you are on the road, when you are going to bed and when you are getting up.”

Enlarging the borders of your family is not a sometime thing. . .it’s an everyday thing.

Acts 5:42 in the Amplified Bible says:

“Yet [in spite of the threats] they never ceased for a single day, both in the temple area and at home, to teach and to proclaim the good news (Gospel) of Jesus [as] the Christ (the Messiah).”

5.         Job

You might be a bricklayer, a bank teller, working in an office somewhere, or you might own your own business.  Regardless of your current occupation . . .you can enlarge your borders.

God takes Moses from a very ho-hum job of being a shepherd on the backside of the desert and turns him into the most powerful man of his times in the land of Egypt, placing him even above Pharaoh himself.  Let me show you what your Bible says about this.

Exodus 4:2 says:

“And the LORD said unto [Moses], What is that in thine hand? And he said, A rod.”

Moses answers it’s a shepherd rod. Now the shepherd rod represented the vocation Moses was in.  He was a common sheepherder wandering in the desert taking care of some sheep that were not even his own.  They belonged to his father-in-law.

But without even a moment’s hesitation Moses gives the rod into God’s hand.  Now remember that rod symbolizes his secular employment, however something exciting is about to happen because we all know that whatsoever we place in the Lord’s Hand, becomes a powerful tool to do God’s work.

Exodus 4:17 says:

“. . .thou shalt take this rod in thine hand, wherewith thou shalt do signs.”

If you want to expand your borders in the marketplace. . .give you job to God.

6.         Finances

As you begin to understand God’s plan for your prosperity. . .you will expand your borders financially.

Isaiah 45:3 in the Contemporary English Version says:

“I will give you treasures hidden in dark and secret places. Then you will know that I, the LORD God of Israel, have called you by name.”

Personalize this verse.

“I will give (your name) treasures hidden in dark and secret places. Then (your name)  will know that I, the LORD God of Israel, have called (him/her) by name.”

God wants your financial borders expanded. . .

2 Corinthians 9:8 in the Amplified Bible says:

“And God is able to make all grace (every favor and earthly blessing) come to you in abundance, so that you may always and under all circumstances and whatever the need be self-sufficient [possessing enough to require no aid or support and furnished in abundance for every good work and charitable donation].”

2 Corinthians 9:10 in the New Living Translation says:

“For God is the one who provides seed for the farmer and then bread to eat. In the same way, he will provide and increase your resources and then produce a great harvest of generosity in you.”

Yes, God wants to expand your financial borders for a reason.

2 Corinthians 9:11 in the New Living Translation says:

“Yes, you will be enriched in every way so that you can always be generous. And when we take your gifts to those who need them, they will thank God.”

God wants to enlarge your financial borders so you can bless others.

7.         Influence

There’s a reason . . . why God wants to expand your borders.

Genesis 12:2 says:

“And I will make of thee a great nation, and I will bless thee, and make thy name great; and thou shalt be a blessing.”

Why does God desire to bless His people?   He wants us blessed so we can become a blessing to others.

One final verse:

2 Samuel 7:28 in the New Living Translation says:

“For you are God, O Sovereign Lord. Your words are truth, and you have promised these good things to your servant.”

It’s time. . .it’s the right time to expand your borders.
