1.         Leave the familiar behind.

Genesis 12:1 AMP

“NOW [in Haran] the Lord said to Abram, Go for yourself [for your own advantage] away from your country, from your relatives and your father's house, to the land that I will show you.”

Genesis 12:2 AMP

“And I will make of you a great nation, and I will bless you [with abundant increase of favors] and make your name famous and distinguished, and you will be a blessing [dispensing good to others].”

Do you think your ability to dispense good to others is based on your credit card limit or just your salary?  Of course, not, it’s time to leave the old way of doing things behind.

Genesis 13:14

“The Lord said to Abram after Lot had left him, Lift up now your eyes and look from the place where you are, northward and southward and eastward and westward.”

2.         Go where God tell you to go. . .do what He tells you to do. . .when He tells you to do it.

Genesis 31:3 AMP

“And the LORD said unto Jacob, Return unto the land of thy fathers, and to thy kindred; and I will be with thee.”

Genesis 32:5

“And I have oxen, donkeys, flocks, menservants, and women servants; and I have sent to tell my lord, that I may find mercy and kindness in your sight.”

Genesis 32:7

“Then Jacob was greatly afraid and distressed. . .”

Genesis 33:11 NLT

“Please take this gift I have brought you, for God has been very gracious to me. I have more than enough.” And because Jacob insisted, Esau finally accepted the gift.”

3.         Never lack or live in fear over your finances.

Psalm 23:1

“The Lord is my Shepherd; I shall not want.”

Psalm 23:1 AMP

“THE LORD is my Shepherd [to feed, guide, and shield me], I shall not lack.”

Nehemiah 2:9

“Forty years You sustained them in the wilderness; they lacked nothing, their clothes did not wear out, and their feet did not swell.”

Psalm 23:1 MSG

“God, my shepherd! I don't need a thing.”

Psalm 23:4 AMP

“Yes, though I walk through the [deep, sunless] valley of the shadow of death, I will fear or dread no evil, for You are with me; Your rod [to protect] and Your staff [to guide], they comfort me.”

4.         Your attitude toward work. . .will determine your future success.

Proverbs 12:24

“The hand of the diligent shall bear rule: but the slothful shall be under tribute.”

Proverbs 12:24 NLT

Work hard and become a leader; be lazy and become a slave.”

Ecclesiastes 3:22 NLT

“So I saw that there is nothing better for people than to be happy in their work. That is why we are here! No one will bring us back from death to enjoy life after we die.”

Ecclesiastes 2:24 NLT

“So I decided there is nothing better than to enjoy food and drink and to find satisfaction in work. Then I realized that these pleasures are from the hand of God.”

Ecclesiastes 3:13 CEV

“Because God's gift to us is the happiness we get from our food and drink and from the work we do.”

Why does God want you to be a diligent worker?

Ephesians 4:28:

“If you are a thief, quit stealing. Instead, use your hands for good hard work, and then give generously to others in need.”

You will be called to account for the type of worker you become.

2 Timothy 2:15 NLT

“Work hard so you can present yourself to God and receive his approval. Be a good worker, one who does not need to be ashamed and who correctly explains the word of truth.”

5.         Always remember. . .why you have what you have. . .and who gave it to you.

First, God brought you out of whatever mess you were in.

Deuteronomy 7:19 NLT

“. . .And remember the miraculous signs and wonders, and the strong hand and powerful arm with which he brought you out of Egypt. The Lord your God will use this same power against all the people you fear.”

Second, if you fail to remember how he delivered you. . .He just may forget you as well.

Deuteronomy 28:47-48 NLT

“If you do not serve the Lord your God with joy and enthusiasm for the abundant benefits you have received, you will serve your enemies whom the Lord will send against you. You will be left hungry, thirsty, naked, and lacking in everything. The Lord will put an iron yoke on your neck, oppressing you harshly until he has destroyed you.”

Third, your most important financial relationship is not with your banker or broker but your Holy Ghost provider.

Luke 12:21 NLT

“Yes, a person is a fool to store up earthly wealth but not have a rich relationship with God.”

Fourth, be humble regardless of what you’ve got.

1 Timothy 6:17

“Charge them that are rich in this world, that they be not high minded, nor trust in uncertain riches, but in the living God, who giveth us richly all things to enjoy.”

Fifth, when you remember who brought you to the dance. . .you will move into His blessing flow.

Ephesians 1:3

“Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ.”

1 Timothy 6:17-19 MSG

“Tell those rich in this world's wealth to quit being so full of themselves and so obsessed with money, which is here today and gone tomorrow. Tell them to go after God, who piles on all the riches we could ever manage—to do good, to be rich in helping others, to be extravagantly generous. If they do that, they'll build a treasury that will last, gaining life that is truly life.”

6.         God secures our financial success by giving us an expert consultant.

John 14:26

“But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.”

7.         When you follow His instructions. . .God has plans for you.

Jeremiah 29:11 NLT

“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”

First, He knows the plans He has for you.

Second, God’s plan is to prosper you.

Third, God will never make plans that are harmful to you in any way.

Proverbs 1:33 NLT

“But all who listen to me will live in peace, untroubled by fear of harm.”

Fourth, God plans are to give you hope.

Psalm 62:5 NCV

“I find rest in God; only he gives me hope.”

Not only does He give you hope. . .but it’s how He gives it to you.

Romans 15:13 NLT

“I pray that the God who gives hope will fill you with much joy and peace while you trust in him. Then your hope will overflow by the power of the Holy Spirit.”

Fifth, God will give you a future.

John 10:10 NLT

“The thief’s purpose is to steal and kill and destroy. My purpose is to give them a rich and satisfying life.”

Sixth, God knows what He’s doing when it comes to you.

Jeremiah 29:11 MSG

"I know what I'm doing. I have it all planned out—plans to take care of you, not abandon you, plans to give you the future you hope for."

Hebrews 13:5 AMP

“. . .for He [God] [b]Himself has said, I will not in any way fail you nor give you up nor leave you without support. [I will] not,[I will] not, [I will] not in any degree leave you helpless nor forsake nor let [you] down relax My hold on you)! [Assuredly not!].”

Seventh, God will not only give you a future He will give you the one you hoped for.

Psalm 37:4 NLT

“Take delight in the Lord, and he will give you your heart’s desires.”

Psalm 20:4 NLT

“May he grant your heart’s desires and make all your plans succeed.”
