Daniel 3:5-6 NLT
“When you hear the sound of the horn, flute, zither, lyre, harp, pipes, and other musical instruments, bow to the ground to worship King Nebuchadnezzar’s gold statue. Anyone who refuses to obey will immediately be thrown into a blazing furnace.”
Ephesians 6:12 AMP
“For we are not wrestling with flesh and blood [contending only with physical opponents], but against the despotisms, against the powers, against [the master spirits who are] the world rulers of this present darkness, against the spirit forces of wickedness in the heavenly (supernatural) sphere.”
Daniel 3:15 NLT
“. . .if you refuse, you will be thrown immediately into the blazing furnace. And then what god will be able to rescue you from my power?”
1. Stand up for what’s right. . .regardless of the consequences.
Daniel 3:17-18 NLT
“If we are thrown into the blazing furnace, the God whom we serve is able to save us. He will rescue us from your power, Your Majesty.”
Daniel 3:18 NLT
“But even if he doesn’t, we want to make it clear to you, Your Majesty, that we will never serve your gods or worship the gold statue you have set up.”
Daniel 3:19 NLT
“Nebuchadnezzar was so furious with Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego that his face became distorted with rage. He commanded that the furnace be heated seven times hotter than usual.”
Daniel 3:20-21 NLT
“Then he ordered some of the strongest men of his army to bind Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego and throw them into the blazing furnace. 21 So they tied them up and threw them into the furnace, fully dressed in their pants, turbans, robes, and other garments.”
2. You’re not alone. . .when you do what’s right.
Daniel 3:24-25 AMP
“Then Nebuchadnezzar the king [saw and] was astounded, and he jumped up and said to his counselors, Did we not cast three men bound into the midst of the fire? They answered, True, O king. He answered and said, Lo, I see four men loose, walking in the midst of the fire, and they have no hurt; and the form of the fourth is like the Son of God.”
Hebrews 13:5 MSG
“. . .I'll never let you down, never walk off and leave you."
2 Corinthians 1:9 MSG
“We don't want you in the dark, friends, about how hard it was when all this came down on us in Asia province. It was so bad we didn't think we were going to make it. We felt like we'd been sent to death row that it was all over for us. As it turned out, it was the best thing that could have happened.”
2 Corinthians 1:10 MSG
“Instead of trusting in our own strength or wits to get out of it, we were forced to trust God totally—not a bad idea since he's the God who raises the dead! And he did it, rescued us from certain doom. And he'll do it again, rescuing us as many times as we need rescuing. You and your prayers are part of the rescue operation.”
3. Sometimes things get worse before they get better.
Daniel 3:20 NLT
“Then he ordered some of the strongest men of his army to bind Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego and throw them into the blazing furnace.”
Daniel 3:22 NLT
“And because the king, in his anger, had demanded such a hot fire in the furnace, the flames killed the soldiers as they threw the three men in.”
I Peter 5:7 in the Amplified Bible says:
“Casting thewhole of your care [all your anxieties, all your worries, all your concerns, once and for all] on Him, for He cares for you affectionatelyand cares about you watchfully.”
4. What had you bound. . .is gone.
Daniel 3:27 AMP
“And the satraps, the deputies, the governors, and the king’s counselors gathered around together and saw these men—that the fire had no power upon their bodies, nor was the hair of their head singed; neither were their garments scorched or changed in color or condition, nor had even the smell of smoke clung to them.”
First, their bodies were immune to the fire.
Second, not a single hair on their heads was singed.
Third, their garments were not burned or even discolored.
Fourth, Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego didn’t even smell of smoke.
Daniel 3:25 AMP
“They answered, True, O king. He answered and said, Lo, I see four men loose, walking in the midst of the fire, and they have no hurt; and the form of the fourth is like the Son of God.”
5. What the enemy means for harm. . .God will turn to good.
Daniel 3:28 AMP
“Then Nebuchadnezzar said, Blessed be the God of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, Who has sent His angel and delivered His servants who believed in, trusted in, and relied on Him! And they set aside the king's command and yielded their bodies rather than serve or worship any god except their own God.”
First, God has sent His angel.
Second, God delivers those who trust in him.
Third, God made him change his decree.
Fourth, the Jews offered to give up their lives in order to be true to their God.
Daniel 3:29 AMP
“Therefore I make a decree that any people, nation, and language that speaks anything amiss against the God of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego shall be cut in pieces and their houses be made a dunghill, for there is no other God who can deliver in this way!”
Fifth, the King announced what would happen to anyone who came against the God of Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego.
6. Glorify God for your deliverance.

“For promotion and power come from nowhere on earth, but only from God. He promotes one and deposes another.”
“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.
Colossians 1:4 in the Amplified Bible says:
“For we have heard of your faith in Christ Jesus [the leaning of your entire human personality on Him in absolute trust and confidence in His power, wisdom, and goodness] and of the love which you [have and show] for all the saints (God’s consecrated ones),
First, He has the power to do all He says He will do.
Second, He has the wisdom to do exactly what needs to be done, and;
Third, we can count on the fact that He will do it wanting only goodness to come to us.
“But now the Lord who created you, O Israel, says: Don’t be afraid, for I have ransomed you; I have called you by name; you are mine. 2 When you go through deep waters and great trouble, I will be with you. When you go through rivers of difficulty, you will not drown! When you walk through the fire of oppression, you will not be burned up—the flames will not consume you.”
