7 Facts About God's Timing - Outline

on on . .

Here is the teaching outline for SUNDAY NITE LIVE.  Join us at 6 PM (EST).

Something can be a good idea. . .it can be a great idea. . .it can be a God idea but if it’s not in God’s timing. . .it will never be successful.

1.         The Holy Spirit gives you the timing.

Acts 1:7-8 MSG

“He told them, `You don’t get to know the time. Timing is the Father’s business. What you’ll get is the Holy Spirit. And when the Holy Spirit comes on you, you will be able to be my witnesses in Jerusalem, all over Judea and Samaria, even to the ends of the world.’”

2.         Being in the wrong place. . .at the right time.

2 Samuel 11:1-3 AMP

“In the spring, when kings go forth to battle, David sent Joab with his servants and all Israel, and they ravaged the Ammonites [country] and besieged Rabbah. But David remained in Jerusalem.

2 One evening David arose from his couch and was walking on the roof of the king’s house, when from there he saw a woman bathing; and she was very lovely to behold.

3 David sent and inquired about the woman. One said, Is not this Bathsheba, the daughter of Eliam and the wife of Uriah the Hittite?”

3.         Delay doesn’t mean denial.

Habakkuk 2: 3 AMP

For the vision is yet for an appointed time and it hastens to the end [fulfillment]; it will not deceive or disappoint. Though it tarry, wait [earnestly] for it, because it will surely come; it will not be behindhand on its appointed day.”

“Tell my children to hold fast to the confession of their faith.  What I’ve promised will come to pass.  Delay does not mean denial.”

Delay tactics are a favorite deception of the enemy because he seeks to trip us up by filling us with doubt.

2 Peter 3:9 AMP

The Lord does not delay and is not tardy or slow about what He promises, according to some people's conception of slowness, but He is long-suffering (extraordinarily patient) toward you, not desiring that any should perish, but that all should turn to repentance.”

“The Lord does not delay and is not tardy or slow about what He promises. . .”

Daniel 10:12-14 NLT

“Then he said, “Don’t be afraid, Daniel. Since the first day you began to pray for understanding and to humble yourself before your God, your request has been heard in heaven. I have come in answer to your prayer. 13 But for twenty-one days the spirit prince of the kingdom of Persia blocked my way. Then Michael, one of the archangels, came to help me, and I left him there with the spirit prince of the kingdom of Persia. 14 Now I am here to explain what will happen to your people in the future, for this vision concerns a time yet to come.”

Psalm 119:60 NLT

“I will hurry, without delay, to obey your commands.”

Even though you’ve been waiting for an answer. . .a manifestation. . .don’t give up, give in, back up, back down or quit expecting.

4.         Our time is in His Hands.

Psalm 31: 15 KJV

“My times are in Your hands; deliver me from the hands of my foes and those who pursue me and persecute me.”

Acts 1: 7 AMP

“He said to them, It is not for you to become acquainted with and know what time brings [the things and events of time and their definite periods] or fixed years and seasons (their critical niche in time), which the Father has appointed (fixed and reserved) by His own choice and authority and personal power.”

If you know God. . .you will know His timing.

Ecclesiastes 9:11 NCV

“Here's something else I've seen on this earth. Races aren't always won by those who run fast. Battles aren't always won by those who are strong. Wise people don't always have plenty of food. Clever people aren't always wealthy. Those who have learned a lot aren't always favored. God controls the timing of every event. He also controls how things turn out.”

Isaiah 49:8 AMP

“Thus says the Lord, In an acceptable and favorable time I have heard and answered you, and in a day of salvation I have helped you; and I will preserve you and give you for a covenant to the people, to raise up and establish the land [from its present state of ruin] and to apportion and cause them to inherit the desolate [moral wastes of heathenism, their] heritages.”

5.         Your time of deliverance

2 Corinthians 6: 2 AMP

“For He says, In the time of favor (of an assured welcome) I have listened to and heeded your call, and I have helped you on the day of deliverance (the day of salvation). Behold, now is truly the time for a gracious welcome and acceptance [of you from God]; behold, now is the day of salvation!”

6.         Make the most out of every minute you have.

Ephesians 5:11-16 MSG

“Don't waste your time on useless work, mere busywork, the barren pursuits of darkness. Expose these things for the sham they are. It's a scandal when people waste their lives on things they must do in the darkness where no one will see. Rip the cover off those frauds and see how attractive they look in the light of Christ.

“Wake up from your sleep, Climb out of your coffins; Christ will show you the light!
So watch your step. Use your head. Make the most of every chance you get. These are desperate times!”
