# 1       Unconquered sins.

Hebrews 12:1 AMPC

“Therefore then, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses [who have borne testimony to the Truth], let us strip off and throw aside every encumbrance (unnecessary weight) and that sin which so readily (deftly and cleverly) clings to and entangles us, and let us run with patient endurance and steady and active persistence the appointed course of the race that is set before us.

2.         Undefined goals and purposes.

2.         Know you have the ability to succeed.

 Matthew 17:20 AMPC

For truly I say to you, if you have faith [that is living] like a grain of mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, Move from here to yonder place, and it will move; and nothing will be impossible to you.”

Mark 9:23 NIRV

"'If you can'?" said Jesus. "Everything is possible for the one who believes."

3.         Keep your faith focused on your goal.

Two important things about our faith:

First, no doubting.

Matthew 21:21 NLT

“Then Jesus told them, “I tell you the truth, if you have faith and don’t doubt, you can do things like this and much more. You can even say to this mountain, ‘May you be lifted up and thrown into the sea,’ and it will happen.”

Second, do not underestimate the importance that exercising your faith in the pursuit of your goals or the things God has called you to accomplish.

 2 Thessalonians 1:11 NLT

“So we keep on praying for you, asking our God to enable you to live a life worthy of his call. May he give you the power to accomplish all the good things your faith prompts you to do.”

4.         Never look at the wind and the waves, i.e., the circumstances.

Matthew 14:28-30 AMPC

And Peter answered Him, Lord, if it is You, command me to come to You on the water. He said, Come! So Peter got out of the boat and walked on the water, and he came toward Jesus.  But when he perceived and felt the strong wind, he was frightened, and as he began to sink, he cried out, Lord, save me [from death]!”

5.         Realize that “no” doesn’t just mean “no” it often means “know.”

6.         Encourage yourself.

1 Samuel 30:6 KJV

“And David was greatly distressed; for the people spake of stoning him, because the soul of all the people was grieved, every man for his sons and for his daughters: but David encouraged himself in the LORD his God.”

7.         Never Give Up or Give In.

When you feel like giving up. . .don’t.
