Here is the teaching outline for SUNDAY NITE LIVE.  Join us at 6 PM EST.

Matthew 13:23 KJV

“But he that received seed into the good ground is he that heareth the word, and understandeth it; which also beareth fruit, and bringeth forth, some an hundredfold, some sixty, some thirty.”

1.         Where does the seed you sow come from?

2 Corinthians 9:10 AMPC

“And [God] Who provides seed for the sower and bread for eating will also provide and multiply your [resources for] sowing and increase the fruits of your righteousness [which manifests itself in active goodness, kindness, and charity].”

2.         Choose to sow in good ground.

According to Strong’s Concordance the word good in Matthew 13:23 is the Greek word kalos (G2570) which means:

“beautiful, excellent, eminent, choice, surpassing, precious, useful, suitable, commendable, admirable; excellent in its nature and characteristics, and therefore well adapted to its ends; joined to names of men designated by their office, competent, able, such as one ought to be; affecting the mind agreeably, comforting and confirming.”

Matthew 18:19-20 KJV

“Again I say to you, that if two of you agree on earth about anything that they may ask, it shall be done for them by My Father who is in heaven. “For where two or three have gathered together in My name, I am there in their midst.”

Luke 8:15 KJV

“But that on the good ground are they, which in an honest and good heart, having heard the word, keep it, and bring forth fruit with patience.”

Luke 8:15 NLT

“. . . who hear God’s word, cling to it, and patiently produce a huge harvest.”

3.         If you aren’t listening for the truth you’ll never hear it.

“But he that received seed into the good ground is he that heareth the word. . .”

First, you have to put yourself in a position to hear the truth.

Second, you need to keep hearing and hearing (and hearing) the precious promises of God.

Romans 10:17 KJV

“So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.”

4.         If you don’t understand it. . .trouble is coming your way.

“But he that received seed into the good ground is he that heareth the word, and understandeth it. . .”

Matthew 15:10 KJV

“And he called the multitude, and said unto them, Hear, and understand.”

Matthew 13:19 NLT

“The seed that fell on the footpath represents those who hear the message about the Kingdom and don’t understand it. Then the evil one comes and snatches away the seed that was planted in their hearts.”

Proverbs 4:7 KJV

“Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom: and with all thy getting get understanding.”

5.         If you’re not productive then what are you doing?.

Matthew 13:23 KJV

“But he that received seed into the good ground is he that heareth the word, and understandeth it; which also beareth fruit. . .”

John 15:2 AMPC

“Any branch in Me that does not bear fruit [that stops bearing] He cuts away (trims off, takes away); and He cleanses and repeatedly prunes every branch that continues to bear fruit, to make it bear more and richer and more excellent fruit.”

6.         Better than Wall Street and/or the lottery. . . 30, 60, 100fold.

Matthew 13:23 KJV

“But he that received seed into the good ground is he that heareth the word, and understandeth it; which also beareth fruit, and bringeth forth, some an hundredfold, some sixty, some thirty.”

Mark 4:8 KJV

“And these are they which are sown on good ground; such as hear the word, and receive it, and bring forth fruit, some thirtyfold, some sixty, and some an hundred.”

Ephesians 3:20 AMPC

“Now to Him Who, by (in consequence of) the [action of His] power that is at work within us, is able to [carry out His purpose and] do superabundantly, far over and above all that we [dare] ask or think [infinitely beyond our highest prayers, desires, thoughts, hopes, or dreams].”

7.         What You Sow Is What You’re Going To Reap.

Matthew 13:23 NLT

“The seed that fell on good soil represents those who truly hear and understand God’s word and produce a harvest of thirty, sixty, or even a hundred times as much as had been planted!”

Matthew 13:23 CEV

“. . . They produce as much as a hundred or sixty or thirty times what was planted.”

Galatians 6:7 AMPC

“Do not be deceived and deluded and misled; God will not allow Himself to be sneered at (scorned, disdained, or mocked by mere pretensions or professions, or by His precepts being set aside.) [He inevitably deludes himself who attempts to delude God.] For whatever a man sows, that and that only is what he will reap.”

Pay particular attention to the last sentence in this verse.

“. . .For whatever a man sows, that and that only is what he will reap.”
