Move Over Average by Clay and Felicia Worrell

on on . .

MOVE OVER AVERAGE, TO THE BEST our spirit can grow just as our mind and body can be grown.. Thus truly releasing the Blessings and Promises of God readily in our lives

Let's look at four steps to train our own spirits up.. So if there is any area we may need to take a look at that we may be receiving all God has for us on this side of eternity…

  1. By meditating on the Word
  2. By practicing the Word
  3. By giving the Word first place in your life
  4. By instantly obeying the voice of your spirit

God communicates with the spirit of man not the reasoning faculties. As you train your spirit and as you instantly obey your spirit, you will find you are obeying the Holy Spirit.

Remember God said in His Word.”The spirit of man is the candle of the Lord, searching all the inward parts of the belly.” Prov. 20:27

Proverbs 20:27 Amplified Bible, Classic Edition (AMPC)

27 The spirit of man [that factor in human personality which proceeds immediately from God] is the lamp of the Lord, searching all his innermost parts.

God is going to use our own spirit

----Step 1 Meditating on the Word

Notice three of the four points involve the Word. We all know the importance of reading the Word. The most Anointed and gifted people I know take time and meditate on the Word. Its impossible to develop spiritual wisdom without meditation in the Word… slow down.. Ask what is this Word saying to me today.. How can I apply this Word of God into my life today and into my life.

Let's look at how to save time, make great decisions and find the abundant life...

Joshua 1:8 Amplified Bible, Classic Edition (AMPC)

This Book of the Law shall not depart out of your mouth, but you shall meditate on it day and night, that you may observe and do according to all that is written in it. For then you shall make your way prosperous, and then you shall deal wisely and have good [a]success.

God told Joshua IF he would meditate on the Word then Joshua would make his way prosperous

May I also suggest the Rich Thoughts For Breakfast editions… Phenominiall Teachings, they are relatively short and to the point, and also give great insight into lifes daily affairs and how to handle them Biblically and successfully…

Finding your Purpose, Gods purpose in your life and the confidence you have been looking for by meditating on the Word.

Romans 12:2 Amplified Bible (AMP)

And do not be conformed to this world [any longer with its superficial values and customs], but be [a]transformed and progressively changed [as you mature spiritually] by the renewing of your mind [focusing on godly values and ethical attitudes], so that you may prove [for yourselves] what the will of God is, that which is good and acceptable and perfect [in His plan and purpose for you].

----Step 2 Practicing the Word

Oh boy you might say... This sounds like work, Clay, And yes, I totally agree it’s much easier said than done. Brother Harold and Ms. Bev are like Felicia and I. They are two of the most positive people I have ever been around, and we all love an encouraging and powerful uplifting Word. However, we also agree that the same Word that encourages and blesses is there for correction as well. Let’s learn to be doers of the Word in all circumstances and we will be blessed in all circumstances.

James 1:22-25 ESV

22 But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves.

23 For if anyone is a hearer of the word and not a doer, he is like a man who looks intently at his natural face in a mirror.

24 For he looks at himself and goes away and at once forgets what he was like.

25 But the one who looks into the perfect law, the law of liberty, and perseveres, being no hearer who forgets but a doer who acts, he will be blessed in his doing.

Example... I use to… we use to... As a married couple have a disagreement… Imagine that. However, I found in the Scripture to not let the sun go down while having anger... So now in the middle of a testy talk you might say with anyone. My mind is already gravitating towards making amends... I have found once you know that you will not allow malice or anger into any relationship... You will guard your words and show more compassion, love and understanding.

Ephesians 4:25-27 New International Version (NIV)

25 Therefore each of you must put off falsehood and speak truthfully to your neighbor, for we are all members of one body. 26 “In your anger do not sin”[a]: Do not let the sun go down while you are still angry, 27 and do not give the devil a foothold.

Let me give you one more example… This applies in our lives daily and I think the Amplified Classic really gives us great understanding of what to do with fretting, anxiety or worry…

Philippians 4:6-7 Amplified Bible, Classic Edition (AMPC)

Do not fret or have any anxiety about anything, but in every circumstance and in everything, by prayer and petition ([a]definite requests), with thanksgiving, continue to make your wants known to God.

And God’s peace [shall be yours, that [b]tranquil state of a soul assured of its salvation through Christ, and so fearing nothing from God and being content with its earthly lot of whatever sort that is, that peace] which transcends all understanding shall [c]garrison and mount guard over your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.

Remember to have what vs 7 has we have to apply vs 6..

Remember God wouldn't ask anything we aren't capable of and I have eliminated a lot of anxiety out of my life by being a doer of the Word. The education of our spirit, I call my spirit my responsibility... Is to be a doer of the Word.

A key is also not talking the problem. This take practice, but once you get used to it you'll start speaking possible solution or outcomes you'd like to see. A great Scripture to apply in life for reducing anxiety is

Philippians 4:8 New Living Translation (NLT)

And now, dear brothers and sisters, one final thing. Fix your thoughts on what is true, and honorable, and right, and pure, and lovely, and admirable. Think about things that are excellent and worthy of praise.

And we know that we are snared by the words of our mouth and the power of life and death are in the tongue according to Prov. 6:2 and 18:21. So if I’m going to get snared by my words and I will, Ill speak words of life and where Id like to be and go and get snared by good words!

-----Step 3 Giving Gods Word First Place In Our Life

There is literally life, healing, prosperity and the Abundant Life in the Word of God.

Proverbs 4:20-22 tells us “My son, pay attention to what I say; listen closely to my words. Do not let them out of your sight, keep them within your heart; for they are life to those who find them and health to a man’s whole body.”

As I read this I understand God to be saying to read the Bible, His words and to keep what we read deep inside… in our heart. I have intentionally read scripture over and over again and the more I read the more I sense that His spirit… the Holy Spirit, mixes with my spirit deep in my heart… my inner self. When this occurs my body and my mind responds in healthy ways. The more often I read the Bible the better I appreciate what God has in store for me and the better I understand how much He loves me.

I believe that is one of the secrets to living a really full life… understanding the love that God has for us as an individual. When we really believe this we begin to live it out. By that I mean that we are better able to develop and sustain habits that honor our body and honor God. We also are better able to keep our mind on things of God and not things of this world.

John 6:63 New International Version (NIV)

63 The Spirit gives life; the flesh counts for nothing. The words I have spoken to you—they are full of the Spirit[a] and life.

We should train ourselves and ask ourselves what Gods Word say about every situation and circumstance in life.  Many blessings are to be gained and heartache avoided by not being rushed or influenced by anything other than the Word of God. And as my dear Brother Harold and Ms. Bev says, 7 Words, read your Bible doing what it says.

Step 4 Instantly Obey the Voice of Your Spirit

The human spirit has a voice and w3e call that a conscious. Sometimes we call it intuition. I have also heard it being called an inner voice or inward guidance from the Lord. The world often calls it a HUNCH. But really it means spirit talking to him. Saved or unsaved every man has a spirit. But the new birth is a rebirth of the human spirit. As you give your born again recreated spirit the privilege of meditating on the Word, your spirit gets correct information and it will then begin to become an accurate guide. Then you must learn to obey your spirit.

Your conscious, the voice of your recreated spirit, becomes the voice of God to you when it is trained in line with the Word of God. Paul said he always obeyed his conscious in (Acts 23:1) The spirit of man is the candle of the Lord (Prov. 20:27) God will use your spirit to guide you. His Word will lead you into the Abundant Life today and forevermore.

God bless and we love you... If this message has been a blessing to you take your mouse to the top of the screen where it says sow a seed. Just ask God what seed He would have you put in the ground. Do as He says that's all we would ever ask. Join Brother Harold and Ms. Bev in the morning 8:30 eastern for RT For Breakfast….
