Ephesians 2:8-10 King James Version (KJV)

8  For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of
yourselves: it is the gift of God:
9  Not of works, lest any man should boast.

10  For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto
good works, which God hath before ordained that we should
walk in them.

Ephesians 2:8-10 Amplified Bible (AMP)

8  For it is by grace [God’s remarkable compassion and favor
drawing you to Christ] that you have been saved [actually
delivered from judgment and given eternal life] through faith.
And this [salvation] is not of yourselves [not through your own
effort], but it is the [undeserved, gracious] gift of God;

9  not as a result of [your] works [nor your attempts to keep the
Law], so that no one will [be able to] boast or take credit in any
way [for his salvation].

10  For we are His workmanship [His own master work, a work
of art], created in Christ Jesus [reborn from above—spiritually

transformed, renewed, ready to be used] for good works, which
God prepared [for us] beforehand [taking paths which He set],
so that we would walk in them [living the good life which He
prearranged and made ready for us].

2 Corinthians 10:12-14 King James Version (KJV)

12  For we dare not make ourselves of the number, or compare
ourselves with some that commend themselves: but they
measuring themselves by themselves, and comparing
themselves among themselves, are not wise.

13  But we will not boast of things without our measure, but
according to the measure of the rule which God hath
distributed to us, a measure to reach even unto you.

14  For we stretch not ourselves beyond our measure, as though
we reached not unto you: for we are come as far as to you also
in preaching the gospel of Christ:

2 Corinthians 10:12-14 New International Version (NIV)

12  We do not dare to classify or compare ourselves with some
who commend themselves. When they measure themselves by
themselves and compare themselves with themselves, they are
not wise.

13  We, however, will not boast beyond proper limits, but will
confine our boasting to the sphere of service God himself has
assigned to us, a sphere that also includes you.

14  We are not going too far in our boasting, as would be the case
if we had not come to you, for we did get as far as you with the
gospel of Christ.

1 Corinthians 10:11 King James Version (KJV)

11  Now all these things happened unto them for examples: and
they are written for our admonition, upon whom the ends of
the world are come.

1 Corinthians 10:11 New International Version (NIV)

11  These things happened to them as examples and were written
down as warnings for us, on whom the culmination of the ages
has come.

Romans 12:1-3 King James Version (KJV)

12 I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God,
that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable
unto God, which is your reasonable service.

2  And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by
the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that
good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.

3  For I say, through the grace given unto me, to every man that
is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he
ought to think; but to think soberly, according as God hath
dealt to every man the measure of faith.

Matthew 25:18-30 King James Version (KJV)

18  But he that had received one went and digged in the earth,
and hid his lord's money.

19  After a long time the lord of those servants cometh, and
reckoneth with them.

20  And so he that had received five talents came and brought
other five talents, saying, Lord, thou deliveredst unto me five
talents: behold, I have gained beside them five talents more.

21  His lord said unto him, Well done, thou good and
faithful servant: thou hast been faithful over a few
things, I will make thee ruler over many things:
enter thou into the joy of thy lord.

22  He also that had received two talents came and said, Lord,
thou deliveredst unto me two talents: behold, I have gained two
other talents beside them.

23  His lord said unto him, Well done, thou good and
faithful servant; thou hast been faithful over a few
things, I will make thee ruler over many things:
enter thou into the joy of thy lord.

24  Then he which had received the one talent came and said,
Lord, I knew thee that thou art an hard man, reaping where
thou hast not sown, and gathering where thou hast not
strawed:

25  And I was afraid, and went and hid thy talent in the earth:
lo, there thou hast that is thine.

26  His lord answered and said unto him, Thou wicked and
slothful servant, thou knewest that I reap where I sowed not,
and gather where I have not strawed:

27  Thou oughtest therefore to have put my money to the
exchangers, and then at my coming I should have received
mine own with usury.

28  Take therefore the talent from him, and give it unto him
which hath ten talents.

29  For unto every one that hath shall be given, and he shall have
abundance: but from him that hath not shall be taken away
even that which he hath.

30  And cast ye the unprofitable servant into outer darkness:
there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.

1 Corinthians 4:1-2 Living Bible (TLB)

4 So Apollos and I should be looked upon as Christ’s servants
who distribute God’s blessings by explaining God’s secrets.

2  Now the most important thing about a servant is that he does
just what his master tells him to.

1 Corinthians 4:1-2 Amplified Bible (AMP)
Servants of Christ

4 So then, let us [who minister] be regarded as servants of
Christ and stewards (trustees, administrators) of the mysteries
of God [that He chooses to reveal].

2  In this case, moreover, it is required [as essential and
demanded] of stewards that one be found
faithful and trustworthy.
