How To Be A Perfect 10 - Outline

Here is the teaching outlline for SUNDAY NITE LIVE.  Join us at 6 PM EST.

Success is an attitude.  Success is a habit.  Success is a lifestyle.  Success is easily available to anyone who wants it...believes they can have it...works for it...never gives up and always...always trusts God...no matter what.

1st Step—See your goal

Joshua 8:1 KJV

“… arise, go up to Ai: see, I have given into thy hand the king of Ai, and his people, and his city, and his land.”

2nd Step—Arise Do Something

Joshua 1:11 KJV

“Prepare, for within three days you are to pass over this Jordan, to go in and possess the land which Jehovah your God giveth you to possess.”

Joshua 1:3, 5 AMPC

“Every place upon which the sole of your foot shall tread, that have I given to you, as I promised Moses. . .No man shall be able to stand before you all the days of your life. As I was with Moses, so I will be with you; I will not fail you or forsake you.”

Joshua 1:6-9 KJV

“Be strong and of a good courage: for unto this people shalt thou divide for an inheritance the land, which I sware unto their fathers to give them.

“Only be thou strong and very courageous, that thou mayest observe to do according to all the law, which Moses my servant commanded thee: turn not from it to the right hand or to the left, that thou mayest prosper withersoever thou goest.

“This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.

“Have not I commanded thee? Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the LORD thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest.”

You’ve got a part to play in your own success.

Joshua 1:16 KJV

“All that thou has commanded us we will do, and whithersoever thou sendest us we will go.”

3rd Step—Use Your ‘Yes’ and ‘No’ Powers of the Natural Mind

To many believers are saying “yes” to excuses and “no” to possibilities. I want to explore several of those excuses.

“I’m too young.”

“I’m too old.”

“I have no capital.”

“I’m not educated.”

“Don’t I need an inborn talent?”

“I don’t have the energy it takes”

“I’m afraid of failure.”

Then there are the “if only” people:

If only their boss would notice them…

If only they could find a good idea…

If only they had more talent, ability, time, money or luck…

If only they had been born in different circumstances, or under another astrological sign…

“I’ve tried and it didn’t work.”

Ray Kroc, the founder of McDonalds, wrote in his autobiography, “I was an overnight success all right, but thirty years is a long, long night.”

Mark 9:23 GWT

“Jesus said to him, “As far as possibilities go, everything is possible for the person who believes.”

4th Step—Cleanse yourself of all unrighteousness…sanctify yourself

Joshua 3:5 KJV

“For tomorrow, Jehovah will do wonders among you.”

Sanctify themselves—Joshua 3:5, 8

5th Step—Dissolve Barriers With Victorious Words and Divine Promises

Joshua 3:9 KJV

“And Joshua said unto the children of Israel. Come hither and hear the words of Jehovah your God.”

Luke 4:6 AMPC

“And he said to Him, To You I will give all this power and authority and their glory (all their magnificence, excellence, preeminence, dignity, and grace), for it has been turned over to me, and I give it to whomever I will.”

6th Step—Eliminate all fear of failure

Joshua 8:1KJV

“And the LORD said unto Joshua, Fear not, neither be thou dismayed: take all the people of war with thee, and arise, go up….”

7th Step—God is on your side

Exodus 23:22 KJV

“But if thou shalt indeed obey his voice, and do all that I speak; then I will be an enemy unto thine enemies, and an adversary unto thine adversaries.”

Romans 8:31 AMPC

“… if God is for us, who [can be] against us? [Who can be our foe, if God is on our side?]”

Psalm 118:6 MSG

“God's now at my side and I'm not afraid; who would dare lay a hand on me?”

Hebrews 13:5-6 AMPC

“So we take comfort and are encouraged and confidently and boldly say, The Lord is my Helper; I will not be seized with alarm [I will not fear or dread or be terrified]. What can man do to me?”

8th Step—Realize the part you have to play in your own steps to success

Joshua 1:8 KJV

“This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.”

2 Peter 1:5 AMPC

“For this very reason, adding your diligence [to the divine promises], employ every effort in exercising your faith to develop virtue (excellence, resolution, Christian energy), and in [exercising] virtue [develop] knowledge (intelligence).”

9th Step—Keep focused on your success

Luke 9:41 MSG

“Jesus said, "What a generation! No sense of God! No focus to your lives! How many times do I have to go over these things? How much longer do I have to put up with this?”

Hebrews 12:1-3 MSG

“Do you see what this means—all these pioneers who blazed the way, all these veterans cheering us on? It means we'd better get on with it. Strip down, start running—and never quit!

“No extra spiritual fat, no parasitic sins. Keep your eyes on Jesus, who both began and finished this race we're in. Study how he did it. Because he never lost sight of where he was headed—that exhilarating finish in and with God—he could put up with anything along the way: Cross, shame, whatever.

“And now he's there, in the place of honor, right alongside God. When you find yourselves flagging in your faith, go over that story again, item by item, that long litany of hostility he plowed through. That will shoot adrenaline into your souls!”

10th Step—Give Thanks

Psalm 35:28 AMPC

“And my tongue shall talk of Your righteousness, rightness, and justice, and of [my reasons for] Your praise all the day long.”

Deuteronomy 11:7 NIV

“But it was your own eyes that saw all these great things the LORD has done.”

1 Samuel 12:24 NIV

“But be sure to fear the LORD and serve him faithfully with all your heart; consider what great things he has done for you.”

Luke 8:39 NLT

“No, go back to your family, and tell them everything God has done for you.” So he went all through the town proclaiming the great things Jesus had done for him.”
