Here Is the free outline for RICH THOUGHTS TV.  Join us tonight at 6 PM EST.

1 Corinthians 15:20-22KJV

“But now is Christ risen from the dead, and become the firstfruits of them that slept.

For since by man came death, by man came also the resurrection of the dead.  For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive.”

Here are the seven reasons why being alive is more than just fogging a mirror.

First, He wants you to live.

Ezekiel 18:5-9 provides an excellent picture of the kind of life we should be living.

“Imagine a person who lives well, treating others fairly, keeping good relationships—
doesn't eat at the pagan shrines,
doesn't worship the idols so popular in Israel,
         doesn't seduce a neighbor's spouse,
         doesn't indulge in casual sex,
         doesn't bully anyone,
         doesn't pile up bad debts,
         doesn't steal,
doesn't refuse food to the hungry,
doesn't refuse clothing to the ill-clad,
         doesn't exploit the poor,
doesn't live by impulse and greed,
doesn't treat one person better than another,
But lives by my statutes and faithfully
         honors and obeys my laws.
This person who lives upright and well
shall live a full and true life
.
      Decree of God, the Master.”

Luke 19:13 says we’re told to “. . .occupy until I come.”

Second, you’ve got the Resurrection Power of God flowing through you.

Here are seven scriptures which prove. . .you’ve got the power.

1.       Acts 1:8 KJV

“… ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you … (then) ye shall become witnesses … .

2.       Matthew 10:2 KJV

“And when he had called unto him his twelve disciples, he gave them power against unclean spirits, to cast them out, and to heal all manner of sickness and all manner of disease.”

3.       1 Corinthians 2:5

“That your faith should not stand in the wisdom of men, but in the power of God.”

4.       Matthew 9:8 KJV

“But when the multitudes saw it, they marvelled, and glorified God, which had given such power unto me.”

5.       Ephesians 3:20 KJV

“Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us.”

6.       Romans 15:13 KJV

“Now the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that ye may abound in hope, through the power of the Holy Ghost.”

7.       Romans 8:11 NIRV

“The Spirit of the One who raised Jesus from the dead is living in you. So the God who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your bodies, which are going to die. He will do this by the power of his Spirit, who lives in you.”

Matthew 22:29 NIV

“Jesus replied, "You are in error because you do not know the Scriptures or the power of God.”

Remember, God hasn’t left you powerless.”

Three, you need to arouse your faith and expectation every day.

Romans 1:17 AMPC

“For in the Gospel a righteousness which God ascribes is revealed, both springing from faith and leading to faith [disclosed through the way of faith that arouses to more faith]. As it is written, The man who through faith is just and upright shall live and shall live by faith.”

Deuteronomy 4:4 NLT

“But all of you who were faithful to the Lord your God are still alive today—every one of you.”

Through faith. . .arouse your expectation. . .every day.

Psalm 5:3 NLT

“Listen to my voice in the morning, Lord.  Each morning I bring my requests to you and wait expectantly.”

The second scripture is Psalm 62:5 which says:

“My soul, wait thou only upon God; for my expectation is from him.”

Fourth, invigorate yourself. . .to a life worth living.

Colossians 1:11 AMPC

“[We pray] that you may be invigorated and strengthened with all power according to the might of His glory, [to exercise] every kind of endurance and patience (perseverance and forbearance) with joy.”

2 Thessalonians 2:15-17 MSG

“So, friends, take a firm stand, feet on the ground and head high. Keep a tight grip on what you were taught, whether in personal conversation or by our letter. May Jesus himself and God our Father, who reached out in love and surprised you with gifts of unending help and confidence, put a fresh heart in you, invigorate your work, enliven your speech.”

Fifth, increase enriches, enhances and extends your life.

Proverbs 11:24-25 KJV

“There is that scattereth, and yet increaseth; and there is that withholdeth more than is meet, but it tendeth to poverty. The liberal soul shall be made fat: and he that watereth shall be watered also himself.”

Psalm 115:14 KJV

“The LORD shall increase you more and more, you and your children.”

Our increase comes through our obedience to His spiritual laws.

Isaiah 40:29 AMPC

“He gives power to the faint and weary, and to him who has no might He increases strength [causing it to multiply and making it to abound].”

Sixth, the seed you sow today. . .will bring you a harvest tomorrow.

Your seed is anything you do that helps another.

When you let go of what is in your Hand, God will let go of what is in His Hand.

2 Samuel 24:25 KJV

“And David built there an altar unto the LORD, and offered burnt offerings and peace offerings. So the LORD was intreated for the land, and the plague was stayed from Israel.”

 Luke 6:38 KJV

Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again.”

Luke 6:38 NLT
If you give, you will receive. Your gift will return to you in full measure, pressed down, shaken together to make room for more, and running over. Whatever measure you use in giving--large or small--it will be used to measure what is given back to you."

Seventh, germinating, springing up, growing. . .God’s plan for your life.

John 10:10 KJV

“The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.”

“. . . My purpose is to give them a rich and satisfying life.”

You can’t enjoy the rich and satisfying life He has in mind for us. . .by just going along . . . to get along . . . so you can get by.  That’s not what being alive means to your Lord and Savior.

So here’s the question. . .are you alive with spiritual power invigorating every new day that He gives you?

Now let’s look at seven reasons why God wants you alive.

1.       Are you winning the lost?

Acts 1:8 in the Amplified Bible says:

“But you shall receive power (ability, efficiency, and might) when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you shall be My witnesses in Jerusalem and all Judea and Samaria and to the ends (the very bounds) of the earth.”

2.       Are you funding the gospel and the Great Commission?

Matthew 28:19-20 AMPC

“Go then and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them into the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, Teaching them to observe everything that I have commanded you, and behold, I am with you all the days (perpetually, uniformly, and on every occasion), to the [very] close and consummation of the age. Amen (so let it be).”

Romans 10:15 AMPC

“And how can men [be expected to] preach unless they are sent? As it is written, How beautiful are the feet of those who bring glad tidings! [How welcome is the coming of those who preach the good news of His good things!]”

3.       Are you caring and providing for the widows and orphans?

James 1:27 KJV

“Pure religion and undefiled before God and the Father is this, To visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction, and to keep himself unspotted from the world.”

4.       Are you giving generously to others so they will praise God for His provision?

2 Corinthians 9:10-11 AMPC

“For God is the one who provides seed for the farmer and then bread to eat. In the same way, he will provide and increase your resources and then produce a great harvest of generosity in you.  Yes, you will be enriched in every way so that you can always be generous. And when we take your gifts to those who need them, they will thank God.”

5.       Are you occupying anything other than the couch until He returns?

1 Corinthians 4:2 AMPC

“Moreover, it is [essentially] required of stewards that a man should be found faithful [proving himself worthy of trust].”

Ephesians 5:16 AMPC

“Making the very most of the time [buying up each opportunity], because the days are evil”.

6.       Are you being successful in whatever your hands find to do?

Joshua 1:8 NLT

“Study this Book of Instruction continually. Meditate on it day and night so you will be sure to obey everything written in it. Only then will you prosper and succeed in all you do.”

I John 3:18-19 TN

“Dear children, let’s not merely say that we love each other; let us show the truth by our actions. Our actions will show that we belong to the truth, so we will be confident when we stand before God.”

7.       What are you doing with the power to get wealth that He gave to you?

Luke 19:13 in the Contemporary English Version says:

“But before leaving, he called in ten servants and gave each of them some money. He told them, "Use this to earn more money until I get back."

Why does your loving Heavenly Father want His resurrection power flowing through you?

It’s much more than your being able to tell everybody you got it. . .He wants you do something with it. . .to bring glory and honor to His name.
