1 Chronicles 16:15 NLT

“Remember his covenant forever— the commitment he made to a thousand generations.”

John 6:29 MSG

“Jesus said, “Throw your lot in with the One that God has sent. That kind of a commitment gets you in on God’s works.”

Philippians 3:15-16 MSG

“So let’s keep focused on that goal, those of us who want everything God has for us. If any of you have something else in mind, something less than total commitment, God will clear your blurred visionyou’ll see it yet! Now that we’re on the right track, let’s stay on it.

God wants all of you, or nothing, that’s total commitment.

Galatians 2:20 KJV

“IamcrucifiedwithChrist: neverthelessIlive; yet notI, butChristliveth in me: and the life whichInow live in the fleshIlive by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.”

1.         Determine to Walk in the Holy Spirit.

Galatians 5:16 NKJV

I say then: Walk in the Spirit, and you shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh.”

2.         Be decisive.

Romans 12:1 AMP:

“I APPEAL to you therefore, brethren, and beg of you in view of [all] the mercies of God, to make a decisive dedication of your bodies [presenting all your members and faculties] as a living sacrifice, holy (devoted, consecrated) and well pleasing to God, which is your reasonable (rational, intelligent) service and spiritual worship.                                                                                                                                                                          

3.         Constantly tell yourself. . .you can.

Philippians 4:13 KJV

 “I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me. . .”

Philippians 4:13 CAMP

I have strength for all things in Christ Who empowers me [I am ready for anything and equal to anything through Him Whoinfuses inner strength into me; I am self-sufficient in Christ’s sufficiency].”

Philippians 4:13 MSG

“Whatever I have, wherever I am, I can make it through anything in the One who makes me who I am.”

Stop thinking about what you can’t do and begin praising God for what you can do.

4.         Clearly defined vision.

Psalm 19:1 KJV

"The heavens are telling of the glory of God; and their expanse is declaring the work of His hands.”

Psalm 8:8 KJV

 "The fowl of the air, and the fish of the sea, and whatsoever passeth through the paths of the seas."

Habakkuk 2:2 CAMP

“And the Lord answered me and said, Write the vision and engrave it so plainly upon tablets that everyone who passes may [be able to] read [it easily and quickly] as he hastens by.”

5.         Bulldog tenacity.

Hebrews 10:36 NIV

“You need to persevere so that when you have done the will of God, you will receive what He has promised.”

6.         Be adaptable.

Adaptable is defined at dictionary.com as:

“able to adjust oneself readily to different conditions.”

Isaiah 64:8 KJV

“But now, O Lord, Thou art our Father; we are the clay, and Thou our Potter; and we all are the work of Thy hand.”

Jeremiah 18:4 KJV

And the vessel that he [the potter] made of clay was marred in the hand of the potter: so he made it again another vessel, as seemed good to the potter to make it.”

7.         Temporary setbacks are just that. . .temporary.

When we learn not to focus on our setbacks...but spend time planning our comeback then we are totally committed.

Micah 7:8 AMP

“Rejoice not against me, O my enemy! When I fall, I shall arise; when I sit in darkness, the Lord shall be a light to me.”

Hebrews 12:2-3 KJV

“We’d better get on with it. . .keep your eyes on Jesus. . .Study how he did it.  Because he never lost sight of where he was headed.”
