This morning on Rich Thoughts For Breakfast I referred to 1 Corinthians 12:22 without quoting it. After the call. . .that verse kept stirring in my spirit.

I vividly remember the first time I heard 1 Corinthians 12:22 in the New Living Translation. I immediately knew it was a verse that should be taught and/or quoted on a regular basis.

I knew God would use this verse to touch and change people’s lives who feel they are weaker or less important to Him as others.

The entire verse of 1 Corinthians 12:22 in the New Living Translation says:

“In fact, some parts of the body that seem weakest and least important are actually the most necessary.”

As I was re-reading that verse God immediately gave me seven reasons why you and every other believer are strong, important and necessary to the Body of Christ.

Before getting to the seven reasons you are necessary I want to share 1 Corinthians 12:22 in two other translations.

First, the Contemporary English Version of 1 Corinthians 12:22, says:

"In fact, we cannot get along without the parts of the body that seem to be the weakest."

Second, the New International Reader’s Version of 1 Corinthians 12:22, says:

Several days ago during a Rich Thoughts For Breakfast call. . .we posed a question.

Here it is.

If it’s God’s will to give us the kingdom, then why are so many people struggling?

During the call we taught five hindrances to your surplus of prosperity.

Fear. . .of the unknown. Fear of failure.

Doubt. . .that God will do what He says He will do in His word.

Anxiety. . .over the current economic and political landscape.

Hesitation. . .to give what God says to give because of our perceived limitations and lack.

Disbelief. . .over whether everything promised in the Bible applies to “me.”

Notice the progression of the five hindrances. . .one builds upon the next one.

Today, I was going to teach in depth on the five tricks of the devil. However, I received a clear word to teach on them individually

I was further directed to teach them as He directed and when He directed.

Tonight, I felt directed that we should teach first on fear.

As we said recently and taught for years. . .Fear is the devil’s anointing.

We want you to write in the following statement where you can see it…remember it…believe it…confess it…until it’s manifested in your life.

“Fear is the devil’s anointing but I rebuke it because it has no place in my life.”Make no mistake about it. . .the enemy will continually try to bring fear into your mental thought process.

Have you ever known anyone who was a prisoner of war?

There’s no doubt that from time to time we’ll have to deal with difficult people.

There’s no need for us to identify them. . .you know who they are.

Number One: get rid of your difficult attitude. . .first.

“Yes, but Brother Harold, it’s not my attitude that’s the problem. . .it’s them.”

The object of your attention may have the worst attitude of anybody you’ve ever meet BUT you can’t move anyone else until you move yourself. It’s just the way God works (Matthew 5:23-24; 18:15-16)

You must get rid of any vindictiveness or offense. . .that’s occupying space in your mental hard drive.

You’ll never be able to break through the wall surrounding difficult people as long as you have the wrong kind of attitude.

What kind of attitude should you have?

Philippians 2:5 in the Amplified Bible says:

“Have this same attitude in yourselves which was in Christ Jesus [look to Him as your example in selfless humility].”

Resurrection Day was the day that changed everything.

Let me say it again. . .

Resurrection Day was the day that changed everything.

On that day. . .where we spend eternity. . .changed.

On that day. . .how we live our lives now. . .changed.

On that day. . .how we face adversity, tough times and attacks of the enemy. . .changed.

On that day. . .we gained the victory over sickness, disease, addiction, affliction and poverty.

But truthfully, our celebration should be daily and not just one Sunday a year.

Easter should be a time of shouting for Christians.  We have the same Resurrection Power that brought Jesus out of the tomb. . . loosed in our lives.  

Romans 8:11 NLT says:

^“The Spirit of God, who raised Jesus from the dead, lives in you. And just as God raised Christ Jesus from the dead, he will give life to your mortal bodies by this same Spirit living within you.”

Not only is that promise real for us today … but the One Who promised has the power and authority to do so.

The Lord said to me. . .

“God wants us to dream bigger…speak boldly…think creatively…associate higher…do more…never give up … starting today.”

I thought that would make a great Facebook post and Tweet for Twitter. . .but the Lord decided it would make a great SUNDAY NITE LIVE teaching for His people.

Truthfully, my first thought was “Lord, I’ve already got something and I need a nap.”

Fortunately, I never spoke those words although I know He knows so I repented for even thinking them.

Here’s what I do know. . .this teaching is especially for some of God’s choice chosen vessels. . .like you.

# 1       Dream Bigger

In my mind. . .I was seeking to find some fresh revelation on dreams and I’m not talking about the nocturnal kind but then I realized the vast majority of us don’t perceive or fully receive the truth God wants us to get. . .with just hearing something once or twice.

You’ll never succeed in achieving your wildest dreams. . .unless you have some wild dreams.

John Barrymore, the actor, once said:

The first time I ever heard the term “point of contact” was while watching one of Oral Roberts old healing crusades when it played on our small black and white TV.

I remember Dr. Roberts stretching out his hands toward the TV camera and asking the viewers at home to extend their faith by touching his hand on the television screen as a point of contact.

Over the years I’ve heard some men and women of God talk about a point of contact when it comes to the prayer of agreement.

I believe a point of contact is anything God instructs us to do to help release our faith.

We can say it another way. . .a point of contact provides a way for us to act on what the Word says and when we do. . .we release our faith to move the hand of God.

Our point of contact could be the prayer of faith…the laying on of hands…an act of faith that causes you to move outside your comfort zone, Holy Communion, water…a prayer cloth or anything that requires a step of faith toward the previously unknown.

A point of contact is one method we use to reach God and obey His divine instructions.
