Yes, I AM A RECEIVER

Written by Harold Herring. Posted in RichThoughts

When God stirred me for us to teach. . .seven keys to being a receiver. . .I thought it was for a Rich Thoughts for Breakfast call. . .BUT GOD always has a better idea.

Out of curiosity. . .I Googled “I’m a Receiver” and was surprised to find the lead post was a song by the same name performed by a group called Apologetix. . . whom I’d never heard off.

Imagine my surprise as I discovered the song was sung to the music of “I’m A Believer” by the Monkees.

The lyrics go like this. . .

“I thought God was only Jewish fairy tales

Meant for someone else with lots more faith

All my doubts depressed me…that’s the way it stayed

Till a voice said, ‘Honey, call my name’

Then I got His grace. . .now I’m a receiver

God replaced. . .the doubt in my mind. . .I’ve been loved”

And so the song goes. . .

What Should You Be Thinking About Everyday

Written by Harold Herring. Posted in RichThoughts

When you wake up in the morning. . .what are you thinking about?

Be mindful of Proverbs 23:7 in the New King James Version:

For as he thinks in his heart, so is he ….”

We decide how and what we want to think about and our thinking habits make up who we are.

Do you ever wonder what winners think about?

Here are seven things that you should think about today and everyday FOREVER, if you are seeking to have a winner’s mentality.  It’s also a great way to have the best day possible.

1.     Wisdom

Tonight we’re going to expose the seven favorite weapons of the enemy.

But as I got deeper into this teaching. . .I marveled at the things God revealed to me to share.

I know this teaching will help heal and comfort many who’ve been under a major assault from the enemy.

Here are the seven favorite weapons of the enemy.

1.      Deception

Who deceives you?

Finish 2021 Strong And Successful

Every Monday and Tuesday night for twenty-one seasons. . .millions of people tune into a television program called The Voice. . .to see who will be accepted, rejected and will ultimately succeed.

However, the Voice that we should be waiting, watching and listening for. . .isn’t a television show. . .but a Voice which ensures our success in the battle ground here on planet earth.

This Voice we listen to makes every person a winner. . .He doesn’t reject anyone who confesses their sins. .and He declares everyone who asks in faith believing. . .a winner in life.

The Voice of the Holy Spirit. . .is one that will direct us through every adversity as we embrace every opportunity using previously untried potential for greater success.

Interestingly enough, there is also a Bible translation entitled “The Voice” that you can find at your favorite Christian bookstore such as christiansoldierbookstore.com

Here are seven questions that will determine your destiny for the remainder of 2021 and beyond.

First, what’s the first thing you do in the morning?

How You Think Determines What You Do

Written by Harold Herring. Posted in RichThoughts

What is the most communicable disease in the world today?

Your thoughts….

Proverbs 23: 7 says:

“As a man thinketh in his heart so is he…”

For years, I’ve taught that a debt free mentality….is not determined by where you work, where you live, what you drive, what you wear or who your parents are.   Your mentality is not determined by how smart you are but by the dominant thoughts in your mind.

Whatever thoughts you allow to dominate your life will have a direct impact on who and what you draw into your life.

Like a magnet, your thoughts will draw to you the people and circumstances that harmonize with your dominant thoughts.

Life is not determined by outward acts or circumstances.  Each of us creates our own life by our own thoughts.  They can be stumbling blocks or building blocks.

But the good news is we can tear down stumbling blocks and make building blocks from them just because we’ve been born again.

2 Corinthians 10: 3-5 says:

God Is Thinking About You. . .RIGHT NOW!

Written by Harold Herring. Posted in RichThoughts

Jeremiah 29:11 has always been one of my favorite scriptures and today the Lord showed me 9 powerful thoughts He has toward YOU in just this one scripture alone.

1. God is thinking about you.

You’re very blessed if you have a Momma and Daddy who think about you. . . you’re blessed when your spouse and children are thinking about you. . .it’s nice when your boss is thinking about you. . .it’s a joy knowing that you have friends who are thinking about you.

But the best thing of all is when you have the scriptural assurance that the Master of the Universe. . .the Creator of Heaven and earth. . .your Jehovah Jireh, your Provider. . .you Jehovah Shalom. . .your God of peace. . . is thinking about you . . . that is so awesome it defies description!

Repeat the following sentence at least seven times.

“God is thinking about me right now.”

Jeremiah 29:11 says:

Develop A Leadership Team You Can Lead To Victory

Written by Harold Herring. Posted in RichThoughts

You would be amazed at how many times I’ve heard someone say:

"If I could just meet the right people."

"I don't even know where to look for someone who knows how to help me."

"Maybe, I just need to give up."

I have a revelation for you. . .unless you step out of your comfort zone. . .you’re never going to meet the right person.

Here are seven keys to developing a leadership team you can lead to victory.

1.      Expect to build strong friendships.

Effective Ways To Change Your Circumstances

Written by Harold Herring. Posted in RichThoughts

Stop looking at your circumstances.  Ask God to help you create the circumstances you want instead of the ones you’ve got.

Dictionary.com defines circumstances as:

“a condition, detail, part, or attribute, with respect to time, place, manner, agent, etc., that accompanies, determines, or modifies a fact or event; a modifying or influencing factor:”

Let me tell you one fact that can’t be modified or changed.

Jesus saves.  Jesus heals.  Jesus deliversJesus changes things which the world thinks can’t be changed.

I should never worry about circumstances. . .because I have the authority, wisdom and access to create any and every circumstance I desire.

Your circumstances don’t determine your destiny. . .they just reflect your current location . . . and what you’re doing or not doing at the moment.

Here seven ways to create the circumstances needed for a strong and successful finish to 2021.

First, circumstances and facts change. . .truth doesn’t (God’s  Word is truth).

Your financial condition can change for the worse by a sudden illness or accident, an unforeseen layoff or any sort of other catastrophic event, such as a death or divorce.

Your financial condition can change for the better with an unexpected bonus, increase in salary or perhaps, an unanticipated inheritance.

Your financial circumstances can change in a heartbeat. . .for better or worse.

However, there’s one thing that will never change.

Malachi 3:6 says:

How To Act And React When You're Threatened

Written by Harold Herring. Posted in RichThoughts

The message was very clear. . .the Lord said to me:

“My children must not feel threatened, but they must listen to and obey my Word.”

Then in a very special moment. . .He led me to Acts 20:24 in the Amplified Bible which says:

“But none of these things move me; neither do I esteem my life dear to myself, if only I may finish my course with joy and the ministry which I have obtained from [which was entrusted to me by] the Lord Jesus, faithfully to attest to the good news (Gospel) of God’s grace (His unmerited favor, spiritual blessing, and mercy).”

Here are seven things you should realize when you feel threatened.

1.      None of these things shall move me

The Apostle Paul was not moved by a shipwreck.

He was not moved by being beaten.

He was not moved by being imprisoned.

He was not moved by being persecuted.

He was not moved by being publicly humiliated.

He was not moved by the criticism of people with less education and knowledge.

He was not moved by a snake wrapping itself around his hand.

You're Connection With The Great I AM

Written by Harold Herring. Posted in RichThoughts

On August 30, 2017 while riding in the car with her Mom. . .Sophia Lee PreJean, our first precious Grand Sugar from Abby and Chris was recorded on a video as saying . . .

“I am wise

I am kind

I am gracious

I am strong

I am loving”

Then with an Academy Award winning smile. . .Sophia would say it again.

Needless to say, my fine wife Bev, and I watched that video over and over again.

Not only was the video cute. . .but it was instilling in Sophia. . .a belief that will serve her well all the days of her life.

Even now at six years of age she is living in Haifa, Israel, enrolled in an all-Hebrew speaking school…and learning Hebrew like a champ.

With a grandfatherly pride. . .I showed that earlier video to many of my friends but didn’t think about teaching it until now.

Why now?  Bev and I are reading a nightly devotional from the “Book of Mysteries” written by Rabbi Jonathan Cahn, the author of The Harbinger, I & II and others.  We read Day Two of the devotional every night for two weeks. . .I’m going to share part of what Rabbi Cahn wrote:

7 Ways To Be A Winner In Life

Written by Harold Herring. Posted in RichThoughts

One of the primary keys to success in life is. . .drum roll. . .persistence.  We must learn to keep on keeping on if we want to be a winner in life.

Perseverance is in the New Testament 32 times and its most frequently translated as:

“patience; endurance; patiently waiting”

The term literally means “remaining under” or standing firm despite opposition.

In life, we will face many challenges. . .and adversities.

Human nature will want you to rationalize that other people seem to have it easier than we do. . .and in some cases, that may be right.

But the Bible says that joy is based not on an absence of difficulty but on discovering your gifts and developing them for the benefit of the Kingdom of God.
