7 Ways To Change Your Way Of Thinking

Written by Harold Herring. Posted in RichThoughts

Every serious student of the Word knows the enemy wants to control and direct our thought lives.

However, there is someone else undergirding you…giving you what you need to keep you from being led astray.

Jeremiah 29:11 says:

“For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.”

Now I realize many know this scripture but I want you to pay particular attention to what I’m about to say. . .as this is a life-changing revelation.

If you know. . .you probably need to be reminded of it.  If you don’t know it then GET READY. . .your life is about to change.

7 Success Keys For Next 84 Days

Written by Harold Herring. Posted in RichThoughts

You may feel like your home is surrounded by bill collectors, repo agents and other folks who brought along all the “D” words. . .despair, depression, doubt, disappointment, despondency, distress, discouragement and yes, debt BUT. . .

Yes, BUT, none, NADA, not a single one of these “D” words can come near you or enter into your mental thought processes unless you extend them an invitation.

My prayer for you during the next 84 days of 2014 is for God to open your eyes so that you can see with the eyes of the spirit the unlimited possibilities God has placed before you.

Your confidence should be in the Lord. . .that nothing or nobody can rob you of your divine destiny or keep you from manifesting the promises of God in your life.

7 Keys To Encouraging Yourself And Others

Written by Harold Herring. Posted in RichThoughts

We’ve got an encouraging word for you today . . . no matter what you’re facing or going through at the moment.

You may feel like you’re not able to give, go, sow or do what you’d like to do for the Kingdom of God but there is one thing that you not only can do but you are scripturally mandated to do.

1 Thessalonians 5:11 in the Amplified Bible says:

“Therefore encourage (admonish, exhort) one another and edify (strengthen and build up) one another, just as you are doing.”

I find it interesting this verse doesn’t say. . .

“Encourage one another if you like them. . .if they go to the same church. . .play on the same softball team. . .work in the same department. . .ride in the carpool you do. . .dress like you do. . .smell like you do. . .talk like you do.”

Guess you’re getting the point. . .we’re to encourage others and that means all others.

Debt is disappearing.

Lack is leaving

Poverty is fleeing

Faith is increasing

Money is multiplying

Wealth is accumulating

Generosity is growing

At first, I thought God was giving me a great confession to be used in my seminars, church services and TV broadcasts.

Then suddenly, I realized it was much more. . .I knew He was giving me seven confessions to change our financial lives.

7 Ways To Overcome Troubled Times

Written by Harold Herring. Posted in RichThoughts

If it isn’t obvious that we’re living in the end-times. . .just read the headlines in your local newspaper or on your favorite internet news source.

There’s an old Ray Charles song entitled “If It Wasn’t For Bad Luck.”  One refrain of the song says:  “if it wasn't for bad luck y'all. . .Oh! I wouldn't have no luck at all.”

It seems the news media has adopted that philosophy and terminology.  If it wasn’t for bad news. . .there would be no news at all.”

We’re not minimizing the troubles in the world. . .they are plentiful. . .but we don’t need to get caught in despair over what’s happening around us and to us.

Here are seven ways to overcome troubled times.

7 Action Steps For Rich Thinkers

Written by Harold Herring. Posted in RichThoughts

It’s one thing to think about what you want to do.  It’s another thing to speak about what you plan to do.  But, it’s an entirely different matter to act on what you’ve been thinking and speaking about doing.

Last evening, after a particularly long day. . .I came across James 1:22-24 in the Message Bible which says:

“Don't fool yourself into thinking that you are a listener when you are anything but, letting the Word go in one ear and out the other. Act on what you hear! Those who hear and don't act are like those who glance in the mirror, walk away, and two minutes later have no idea who they are, what they look like.”

I was struck by five words in this passage of scripture when it says:

7 Questions To Help You Succeed With Your Purpose

Written by Harold Herring. Posted in RichThoughts

I’ve written about purpose dozens of times. . .but I feel impressed to discuss it again. . .from a little different perspective.

Dictionary.com defines purpose as:

1.      the reason for which something exists or is done, made, used, etc.

2.      an intended or desired result; end; aim; goal.

God Has A Purpose For Your Life.

Say it out loud:  GOD HAS A PURPOSE FOR MY LIFE…personalize and write it down.

Without your purpose identified firmly in your mind, you will wander through life, never quite feeling that you’re “in the flow.”

And let me be clear, your PURPOSE may have nothing to do with how you make money (your job)…because you can make MONEY in many ways.. that may not be directly related to your purpose….although you can still glorify God while doing your job.

Purpose gives meaning to WHY you’re doing what you’re doing.

There are seven questions that will determine where you are with regard to knowing and walking in your purpose.

7 Keys To Guarantee Your Plans Succeed

Written by Harold Herring. Posted in RichThoughts

At 5:38 this past Sunday morning. . .I was pondering a question. . .that demands an answer.

Do we want to succeed enough to plan our action and then act on the plan?

It’s one thing to think about what we want to do. . .and that’s good. . .just not good enough.

It’s another thing to talk/speak/confess what we want to do. . .that’s good. . .just not good enough.

It’s something else to plan what we’re thinking about. . .and that’s good. . .just not good enough.

However, what we’re thinking, speaking and planning will never become a reality until we actually act on what we’ve been thinking, speaking and planning.

Here are seven keys to guarantee your plans will succeed.

7 Keys To Developing True Grit

Written by Harold Herring. Posted in RichThoughts

Recently, I was watching one of my favorite John Wayne movies entitled “Big Jake.”  The Duke as he was known was my favorite movie star during my formative years.  He was always the good guy.  The one who stood for what was right. . .regardless of the consequence.

My three favorite John Wayne quotes are:

# 1       “Life is tough, but it's tougher when you're stupid.”

# 2       “Courage is being scared to death…but saddling up anyway.”

# 3       “Tomorrow is the most important thing in life. Comes into us at midnight very clean. It's perfect when it arrives and it puts itself in our hands. It hopes we've learned something from yesterday.”

John Wayne won his only Oscar in 1969 for the movie “True Grit.”  There’s a point in the movie where 14 year-old Mattie Ross says to Marshal Rooster Cogburn (John Wayne) “They tell me you are a man with true grit.”

Dictionary.com defines true grit as:
