One of my favorite Easter songs is “He’s Alive” by Ray Boltz. It’s a powerful narrative of the Resurrection and it always gives me glory bumps.

The chorus says:

He's alive, He's alive

He's alive and I'm forgiven

Heaven's gates are open wide

Can somebody say Hallelujah!!!

1 Corinthians 15:20-22 says:

“But now is Christ risen from the dead, and become the firstfruits of them that slept.  For since by man came death, by man came also the resurrection of the dead.  For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive.”

As I was meditating on this scripture. . .I felt the Lord leading me to write on this passage.   At first, I wasn’t sure exactly what he wanted me to write about.

Did He want me to write about how Resurrection Sunday should be celebrated 52 weeks a year?

10.  Never give up your dream or allow anyone else to steal it.

  9.  Breakthroughs begin when you say "I'm not going to live this way anymore."

  8.  If we focus on the obstacles we face…we will never see the opportunities available to us.

  7.  The day we figure out what fear has cost us in missed opportunities and money . . . is the day we'll deal with it.

  6.  If the enemy can transfer fear into your mind, he immediately has the ability to take advantage of you.

  5.  It’s smarter and more productive to ask God what He wants…than to do what you want and ask Him to bless it.

  4.  Avoid forming an unholy alliance or being unequally yoked. God won’t bless what He doesn’t approve. 2 Chronicles 18:3 AMP

  3.  Biblical principles and Godly promises never come with an expiration date. Can somebody say “Hallelujah!"

  2.  Today's Confession....Godly ideas are coming to me. I will see as I've never seen so I can do what I've never done.

  1.  No matter the adversity…God’s desire is for you to breakthrough, break out or bust loose of what’s been holding you back.

Nearly five years ago my fine wife Bev and I attended my high school reunion.

I was amazed that we were the only ones not aging.

Laughing.  I’m just kidding.

Probably 90% of those present were retired.  I’m listening to them and wondering how much golf can you play. . .how many fish can you catch. . .how many exercise classes can you attend in one week?

Don’t get me wrong. . .I’m not really against any of those things but I am against rigor mortis of the mind. . .I can’t ignore the assignment God has given me.

Yes, we like to take trips. . .my fine wife is my best friend and she’s the one I want to be with.

However, as long as I have breath in my body I will be glorifying God, terrifying the devil and setting the financial captives free from the bondage of debt and poor thinking.

It’s important to realize that we’re never too old to fulfill God’s destiny for us. It’s an ongoing process … one you never retire from.

I’m not suggesting that we work the rest of our lives but I am encouraging each of us. . .to fulfill God’s assignment for us.

Never let your circumstances define your destiny.  Rather create the circumstances that will assure your destiny.
