If you’re discouraged . . . if you’re feeling blue . . . feeling sorry for yourself  . . . then do something for someone else.

Dr. Karl Menninger, a leader in the field of mental health, was once asked, “What would you advise a person to do if he’s on the verge of a nervous breakdown?”

The person asking the questions expected Dr. Menninger to come out with some profound psychological insight. However, he looked his questioner straight in the eye and said:

“Lock up your house, go across the railroad tracks, find someone in need and do something to help that person.”

The thing that will help every believer in the midst of a crisis is to get their eyes off their problem . . .stop talking about it. . .stop rehearsing their hurts and pains. Instead, put your focus on doing good for someone else . . . it works because it is a totally biblical principle.

If you want to be successful in business. . .you need revelatory insight into marketing trends and consumer demand.

Hunches don’t work.  In fact, they’ll get you into financial difficulty quicker than you can say “Yippee Ki Oh Ki Ya.”

You need an entrepreneurial coach. . .one who knows the ins and outs of the marketplace and workplace. 

One who is not only creative. . .but stirs in you a determined ability to finish what you start.

Truth be told. . .you and I have such a Coach. . .available 24/7 and He’s always gives us the best insight.

I must confess to you there are occasions when I wonder why I’m teaching what I’m teaching when I first start reading, studying, praying and writing.

Preparing seven favorite weapons of the enemy. . .was one of those occasions.

But as I got deeper into this teaching. . .I marveled at the things God revealed to me to share.

I know this teaching will help heal and comfort many who’ve been under a major assault from the enemy.

Here are the seven favorite weapons of the enemy.

Who are the seven most influential people in your life?

Let me ask that question a bit differently. . .who are the seven most positive and influential people in your life. . .that you interact with on a daily basis?

Have you seriously thought about the kind of influence they’re exerting in your life?  What do they add to your life. . .your goals. . .your dreams?

In June of 2011, I posted a “Friendship Evaluator” where I asked people answer truthfully about the seven people closest to them.

Here are the four questions I posed.

A few weeks ago, I taught “How To Live In Significance and Opulence” on Rich Thoughts for Breakfast.    As I was teaching during the call. . .I was stirred to write “seven keys to significance.”

James 4:10 in the Amplified Bible says:

“Humble yourselves [feeling very insignificant] in the presence of the Lord, and He will exalt you [He will lift you up and make your lives significant].”

It’s not what you do. . .that builds a life of significance. . .it’s who you serve.

What does it mean to live a life that is significant?

According to dictionary.com the word significant means “important; of consequence.”

In order to achieve significance in this life. . .we must first. . .manifest humility in our everyday life.

I was turning to Hebrews 6:10 when God directed my vision to Hebrews 6:14.

When I read the verse I shouted "Hallelujah."  Talk about a gift that keeps on giving and blessing.

Best of all, it's not a Christmas gift...it's one that's available to each of us 24/7 as a Child of God.

Watch out for the hook. . .the trick. . .the trap. It looks good. . .pleasing to the eye and yes, it will tingle your senses . . . but it will also put you in bondage quicker than you can say, “Where Do I Sign?”

“No Interest Until January 2018.”

Those five words have snared many an unsuspecting believer into financing their future.

Okay, the year may change but the bondage doesn’t.  The real danger of this type of financing or any kind of debt is that it presumes your finances will be better tomorrow than they are today.  That’s dangerous thinking.  It presumes that you will not hit any bumps in the road between now and when the payments or final payment come due.

Early yesterday morning and I do mean early. . .I was drawn back to Psalm 20 which I’m going to personalize for you. . .using various names.

1 May the Lord answer [Randy] in the day of trouble!  May the name of the God of Jacob set [Randy] up on high [and defend him];

2 Send [Laurel] help from the sanctuary and support, refresh, and strengthen her from Zion;

3 Remember all [Fred’s] offerings and accept his burnt sacrifice. Selah [pause, and think of that]!

4 May He grant [Diane] according to her heart’s desire and fulfill all her plans.

Are you feeling pressure in your everyday life?  On the job. . .in your finances. . .at home either in your role as a spouse or a parent.

Does it seem that sometimes the pressure is almost overbearing?

Peter Marshal, a former Chaplain of the United States Senate once said:

“When we long for life without difficulties, remind us that oaks grow strong in contrary winds and diamonds are made under pressure.”

Perhaps, we need to catch a visual of ourselves becoming like the Hope diamond. . .the most famous of all precious stones.

There seems to be four main causes of pressure. . .whether externally or internally generated.
